Kear is a workmanlike coach, appointing him to GB/England would be a massive backward step, we need a McGuire type who would bring the latest techniques over to move us on.

McRae is on a bit of a hiding at Salford, now don't get me wrong I'd be as narked as the next fan if I followed them but I'm not too sure many other coaches could do much better.
That squad is most peoples favourites for a bottom 2 and whilst he picks the team the lack of finance can't help.

Kear doing great at Wakefield and should stay there IMO.
Must admit GB job is a tough one, it would have to be a Brit for me as our runs with Aussie coaches have been just as bad as with British ones so lets scrap it for now, may be another go with Hanley or a D Powell combo with assistance from K Harrison part time, something along those lines maybe.

On Saturday my mate said to me just before we went to watch Easts that he was convinced Leigh and Salford would merge at the end of this season.

Seems obvious to me he is right although I did not say so at the time.

If the club was based in Leigh, why on earth would you call it Salford anything? It would either have to be called Leigh or something generic like West Manchester Wangdoodles, or else be like the Crusaders and give ourselves a random non-locational title (like "the Flatcappers"icon_wink.gif
