It beggars belief but out of all the scenarios it seems the most probable...
If it was the intention to have brearley frozen out of the game... apparently without a club... they've made a huge success.
Just seems very daft from brearley/agent from where I'm stood.

Considering all the rumors about Ryan over the years I'm starting to wonder if this isn't the first time him & his agent have leaked what's going on behind the scenes to try to get a better deal. They've probably gotten away with it before (perhaps more than once) & thought they could do it again, but the club has had enough and they've gone too far this time. Said when the club announced it I think the club has called his bluff.

I havent seen it mentioned but Brearley does have another job as one of the 5 player columnists in RugbyLeagueWorld (staff writer Matthew Shaw) - in itself something to make the guy think himself a hot property. The February issue extols the benefits of a training camp in Lanzarote thanks to generous owner Derek B. He mentions rooming with Ridy and Rangi and says Rangi is 'A really good bloke' etc

Come the March edition and times have changed - a few snippets: 'He (Rowley) explained to the lads how upset he was and that he didn't want to leave but he had different morals and beliefs and that would lead to further conflict' then 'At this stage I am fully committed to Leigh, performing well for Neil Jukes' and 'I turn up to training every day with a smile on my face' 'I'm out of contract at the end of the season' 'As of yet I haven't been approached by Leigh' 'I've got a good agent (CH) who will protect me as much as he can' -

can't wait for the next issue! (will he cover - season ticket holders, kids with his name on their backs, the work he was doing for the community trust and most of all the reasons?)

He will do a piece on the strategic steps to Sainthood, how to look your best at Childrens party's and the benefits of celibacy for the modern RL player.

Hopefully Ryan will learn from this fiasco , learn who is advising him for his benefit , and who is using him for their benefit

So if Ryan hadn't told anybody about his request to serve notice , he might well have got another 15 K this year , still played for Leigh on Sunday and for the rest of the season until moving on with everybody's best wishes to a current SL club of his choice for 2017

And still been able to return to Leigh at some point in the future if it didn't work out

So Ryan , who did you tell ? , and why did they tell SKY ? , was it for your benifit , or theirs ?

looks like 15k will fix it so the 'certain things' were probably just his payslips

We pay if the PR clause in Ryans contract is enforceable in law. Ryan pays if he loses and gets no contract money till next season.

It's not too late.Ryan needs to take a rap for it in the form of a fine and get back to doing what he does best.
Needs to learn agents are like car salesmen Product > Sale > Commission.
Would have to eat humble pie yes,but would come out of it stronger,wiser and more professional.

We don't need anyone who doesn't want to be here, despite all the I want to honour my contract, despite the I love the fans, despite all the badge kissing (the day before he puts his notice in). Badly advised or not he has a mind of his own. Thought it would be the perfect storm to inform Sky of confidential information and then get them to show him on TV at the same time.

Well whatever should Ryan be able to play for us till the end of the season at least then I would be delighted. I am literally a Leyther till I die but I still hope this can be resolved amicably.

Should anyone not agree with me you don't have to lend me the money for a pint at Fax on Sunday.

Perhaps one of the certain things at the club is having to earn your place in the team. Whe all are fit instead of just turning up week after week

I agree Frank, I would welcome Ryan back anytime,you can't turn down the chance to gain a 30 try a season player,I can't see it happening , but I wish he would come back.

Like Charlie says, the amount of tries he scores in the Championship is invaluable.

Firstly welcome back Charlie. Secondly would the players and coach welcome him back considering what he has allegedly done. The one thing that Jukesy said last week prior to the game was that the one thing he hated in life was a liar. Enough for me.

,as for Ryan?I'm not sure what has go on, I believe what Jukesy has said , I think Ryan may have had some of the wrong advice, which is a pity ,he's a nice young lad ,a good rugby player it's a shame his Leigh career had to end like this ,of course that's if it has ended.Personally I can't see him returning but I do hope he does,we seem to be getting a few players ready to return from injury,hopefully the Fax game will be entertaining,and we come out with a win.
