Not really, I was just stating an observation that both of them were not given time to show what we were told by the club they were capable of doing. There must be a reason that both went from hero to zero in a matter of weeks. It "could" be suggested that the homework wasn't done before the appointment of both and if so then we may need to brush up on our scouting or interviewing skills...................or clear things by stating why things didn't work out in such a short time?

This is my opinion but your talking nonsense when saying Brown wasn't given a chance. What should Paul do drop in form wingers? Irrelevant of size of contract, age who signed them etc Paul treated everyone equally last season and I believe that is one of the reasons he got the maximum from the squad.

Your tying yourself in knots, yes the players you mention are brilliant (as are many many more in our squad) but seeing as it was you who asked the question about BROWN then I'll stick with him. He was brought in with all the bells and whistles and the promise of great things, infact he was seen to be such a star he was our official poster boy and funnily enough STILL appears to be so "take a look on our official home page".

As for pleasure in your work and what that entailed, I'll bet the same thing applied for when they arrived as when they left. ie No big fanfare like we had for DC. just food for thought.

Ha, you must be confusing me who gives a about what happened to Brown. Read my first post again and MY point is that it appeared that Carty wasn't given enough time...........the same thing as Brown that's all. This leads to the impression that a gun was jumped or even a possibility that a mistake was made in the choice of both.

I replied that It was a very short time that Carty had to prove his worth. I compared this to Browns fiasco. not once did I go into playing tactics or ever mention my preference to Brown over any other, I even state that I didn't really rate him even but you still seem infatuated with him to keep bringing him up. It could have been Joe Bloggs who was brought in with a bang and out with a whimper in a short time, I would then have compared Carter to joe Bloggs. Neither the club or Dan have made a statement, but a fan stated he left at the end of his probationary period when it was probably during as that period is normally 3 months minimum in my experience, the only bit missed is that a player is contracted for a fixed period which an employee isn't - fans will debate Brown, or any player, because its what fans do on a fans messageboard and HH is certainly a fan.

It must be closed season when we have this many pages about not a great deal, recruitment isn't a science and employee's and employers often get it wrong for all sorts of reasons.
