What has really wound me up this morning is the BBC. After having very sensible interviews with Paul Wellens, Jonathon Davies and Ralph Rimmer they decided not to interview an RL fan about the reason no one had complained to the police about the attack, but an RU fan who did complain.
I am on this planet LC luv. RL is all over the news at the moment and I will be suppried if Flower gets more than ten games due to his previous behaviour.
The other thing is in RFU a player is allowed to stamp all over an defenceless opposing player in the ruck and doesn't get sent off. This results are some horrendous injuries.

It was a disgusting violent act but the most important game of the season had just kicked off, Flowers is pumping adrenalin in front of 70,000 screaming fans. He's hit with a forearm and he turns into the raging Hulk. The red mist came down for him. He's lucky he managed to stop thumping. I'm just glad Hohaia has recovered. It was sickening to watch but he will regret that burst of temper for the rest of his life. I just hope they don't get the police involved and he gets a lengthy ban and that all parties can make up. The Union loving press are loving it.

Hohaia has made an early guilty plea and been given a one match ban.

I have to say that having seen Lance's initial elbow, that is worthy of a sending off also. In no way am I defending Ben Flower's actions but if he had not given Lance the second shot we would not be all talking about this now. My personal view is that Ben Flower pulled the second shot and it looked worse than it was in slow motion. It makes a mockery when you see RU players blatantly stamping on another players face and not being dismissed.

He would have been playing for Wales also. That's why the ban starts now. Don't forget that ban means that he cannot train with the team either.

The incident was always going to prompt world wide astonishment but the offence is the story not news articles commenting on it.

Doesn't this type of ban stop you being at the club? I thought that is why St Helens were calling for him to be monitored. As they said " he is now just another young man on the street", or something like that. Just thought the wording of " six month ban" as opposed to 12 match ban meant it was a total ban from the club.

He can train with the club he can even attend matches with the club.
Not wishing to start another slanging match, it's over, but Dane Manning was able to train and travel with the team during his 10 match ban.
Rob Worrincy who was banned for a totally different reason was not allowed to train, travel or watch as a spectator.
