TO be honest I dont care who their coach is. Im a bit surprised at it being Betts, I thought they would have got someone with mpore experiance, knowing their in SL in just over 12 months, then again he could be just filling in till the Aussie coach arrives.

I'm fairly certain that if Leigh appointed Betts, there's be Widnes fans saying lets all laugh at leigh.

As for the difference between Millward and Betts, while Millward didn't do a good job at wigan, he has been successful elsewhere. Betts is still unproven and has been out of the game for a long time.

Yep, you do just need to see how it goes. I still reckon there would have been some widnes fans having a dig if we'd appointed him.

I think if you did a straw poll of RL fans and asked which coach is more successful or you would prefer I'd wager a bet Millward comes out on top.

As a Leigh fan not fussed who coaches Widnes, however as a RL topic many people perhaps wouldn't view Betts as good as Cullen and indeed it does seem a strange choice.
Perhaps its what Widnes need to provide the spark to perform well on the park, its does seem a gamble but I suppose in a season that has no relevance to the Vikings they will experiment with certain things.
