I'm grateful Nanyn got a last minute try because going for a late 2 when you're 24-10 down was a bit embarrassing.

Every club would do the same, but still, it's not really what the game is about for me. Conversely, Basil has never taken an easy 2 all season and would prefer 6 - which happened tonight with our 2nd try.

At the end , yes , I didn't think the boys had the energy to pull it back when we went 14 down , we have some very hard games to come away at Barrow,Widnes,Fev and Sheffield , with not many points coming from those , but we have put ourselves in a good position , now we must get the timing right to be on form when it matters

Some tired, tired bodies out there, and I think that showed with the lack of invention near the line.

Take nowt away from Fev though, a very well drilled side who stuck to their gameplan to the letter and even managed to bring more fans than Widnes.

Personally i thought we had the game won at half time and so did some leigh supporters around us, i felt you tried to deploy the same tactics as you did when you played widnes and it failed miserably

The difference being whereas Widnes came out everytime to try and smash Paul everytime, we let him run across the line and do his poor inside ball which led to virtually nothing, the constant pressure with no reward tired your pack out and the early try to us in the second half killed some of the Leigh belief,

Although you came back valiantly, i always felt if we got near your line we would score, and that was proved twice more despite limited possession in your half

Leigh fans who spoke to us gracious in defeat and had some good banter with us

Fevxr2i, generally we are happy with the bonus point. ROVERS troll winding up, has 'sidetracked' it somewhat. My wife said on my return home "you're not you are usually after a defeat" (kick the cat etc) No, Fev were by far the better side, and i am telling myself, it was 'fatigued' Leigh, and 'fresh' Featherstone - even though it may not be the reason why we lost.

It didn't work. Our defensive line speed was quick and any complacency there was at the Toulouse fixture was addressed for tonight. We threw it about a bit more than usual and Briggs was in control for most of the 2nd half. The ref??? Well, not his best game eh? The season is now half way over - Nowt is won in May!!!!

I don't give a toss about a result in a comp we're now out of. The league is our main focus now. A cracking hard game tonight which we played well. Decent stadium (cak stewards), decent craic all night wi t'leigh fans and the result went our way. Be happy - go to bed numpty!!!

no not really reffy - I wished I hadn't posted it now. Just some 'jobsworth' stuff from the stewards when we got off the bus that's all. It soon went away.
Nowt to do witht he Leigh club - but I understand some of them work for the agency that stewards the HJS - that's a different tale.

On reflection -we had a good night. I really rate the stadium It's pricey and Leigh get Jack from the catering which is a travesty, but overall it's a decent place to visit.
