HTF is Ryan bored, he is the one continually spouting off about leaving. I think as a Leigh supporter I am entitled to my opinions especially if they surround the perceived attitude of a player toward the club, despite his protestations he will continue to perform for Leigh. I don't doubt that, but he needs his team mates to assist him to SL along the way.

My views on his performance last night incidentally was that he was pretty much anonymous in comparison to the performance of the other 16 (with the exception of one forward), is that what he really wants to be.

The club need to put it to bed for everyones sake. Brierley's only a young lad with ambition to play for his hometown club, and who can blame him for that, but it needs stopping otherwise some fans may turn against him and he doesn't deserve that. It's just naivety really. I'm quite sure he will play his best for Leigh but someone needs to have a word with him about his tweets and get it stopped.

If the people around young Ryan are telling him he is now ready for Super League then unfortunately he is being badly advised in my honest opinion. Yes he has a lot of promise, and will one day grace Super League but he still needs a couple of years developing in my book.

Paul Rowley is bringing him on leaps and bounds. However he is far from a finished half back and play maker yet.

Full strength Leeds team ? ok lets just name a few out....Burrow, Mcguire, Aiton, BJ Bishop, Ablett, Jones Buchanon, Aichurch.....add to that playing a 18 yo hooker playing his 2nd game, second half clarkson a 17 stone second rower playing hooker. Sutcliffe is still a kid getting by playing in a top 3 side but your ridyard is a better player than him ! Please dont embarass yourself.
Like I said we were way off the level we can play at, I am sure you must see that but that is not taking away that Leigh were fantastic and contributed to an exciting game. Your team were playing on adrenilin and were only really undone in the last ten mins when the tanks were empty. I hope that the energy used and injuries you had do not derail you next week in the league

I thought every Leigh player played well and because of Leed's close marking of Brierley it gave our backs more space.

Apparently after this weeks meeting the RFL has asked for more time to view the evidence before making a decision , I agree it is possible for Salford to be playing Championship Rugby next season , but it is more likely Probable they wont .And having discussed the said subject with Marwan ,(1) He is involved with Salford for the long haul ,(2)He is a very ambitious Bloke who doesn't like to Fail .(3)His views on Sport both Rugby and Horse Racing are set a very high Standards .I know it is harder to have an English Classic winner in Horse racing , than it is to keep Salford in the SL .

Of course this is just my opinion .

Ryan needs to keep his mouth shut about Salford. He should respect the club he is contracted to, who gave him a chance until we tell him he can speak to Salford. If he wants to destroy his career by moving to Salford then so be it. But to disrespect the club and it's fans who have idolised him by taking every opportunity to court koukash is not on. Just play a straight bat to those questions and let fate deal with your Salford move.

I agree Ryan should be a bit more discreet in his views of his Future , but the lad is a young Salford fan , his comments will not endear him to Leigh fans , personally I think Ryan has a good future in the Game and would love it to be at Leigh , but fully understand his views , possibly a quiet word from Rowls or even Derek B would do the trick .

Let's not forget plenty of players have made no secret of the fact that they would want to play at Leigh at some stage in their career while contracted to other clubs. Rowley, Baldwin, Donlan, Higham all spring go mind, and they're all players who had already turned out for us in their younger days, not to mention Penky, Littler etc on top of that.

My two peneth on this is it would be a very sad day if Ryan were to leave us with the fans hating him.

There is plenty of time for Ryan to play for Salford once he is over the hill, that's what everyone else does!

Ryan Brierley seems to get along very well with fans on twitter and I think he must reply / retweet most that are sent to him. He seems to get along with Leeds fans very well and with him being a big Danny McGuire fan. I for one hope that he'd be in a Leeds shirt in the future, great talent and could form a long term partnership with Liam Sutcliffe of it were to happen.

Leeds, Hull FC, Salford, Widnes all chasing after him, he would be wrong not to weigh up his options. It would show his commitment to the cause if he stayed at Leigh.

As said, I would be very happy if he comes to Leeds.

Everyone is assuming that he has to leave leigh..why .?
It has shown, that Leigh are capable of holding there own with this squad, against

So why would he want to leave, when his future with leigh is so bright...

Don't come on here much these days and our communication strategy is to use official club channels wherever possible now so I won't make a habit of it however I feel it's important in this instant to put an end to all the talk about this kid as Ryan is very happy and learning from his mentor PR and is going no-were. He is a contracted player to an ambitious club that is financially robust and does not need to sell for the money.

Ryan is one of the best professionals a club could wish to have but inevitably attracts a lot of media attention which is fantastic also for the club as there is no such thing as bad publicity in my opinion.

We don't as rule comment on speculation but the very earliest this will even be discussed again is at the end of the current season as we have a very important league campaign to get through and neither the player, the club or our fan base need any distraction from this.

We have on our board one of the toughest negotiators as our head of football and rest assured if any player ever does leave our club at any point in the future it will be on our terms and the deal will be in the best interests of the individual and Leigh Centurions.

We are not a selling club anymore and have a clear pathway and vision to SL with the cash to support it so all our players and ones we target and bring in to strengthen what we already have understand were we are going and buy into that vision.
