Im surprised with the new format that no team gets a `free` game to get to the Grand Final. I just thought the winner of the first 2 big games would likely play each other for the chance to get to the final.

It really seems apart from the prize money there isnt much advantage to finishing top of the league.

Apart from possibly getting to play Leigh twice!

For me, even the RFL could not devise a play off system where a team that wins away in week 1 then has to go back to the very same place in week 3 to do it all again!!

Both teams that win in week 1 will have home advantage in week 3.

I find it peculiar that the only advantage to finishing top or second, is that you get a single home game, the result of which decides whether you're home or away for the match that does matter, likely versus the team you played in week 1.

It gives you the advantage to gain the advantage



Plus at least they play the lowest ranked of the top four.

What if Featherstone and Sheffield should both lose twice

Then they're out!

Then Leigh will win the Trophy.

We are gonna have to beat Batley first though, and we all know what they are capable of especially in playoffs at the LSV.

I will be travelling over to the UK on the day of the game and will only arrive in Manchester on Monday afternoon so will be desperate to hear the result.I will also really look forward to see the boys play again after eight long years, and hope they are at home so that I can see this great stadium of ours, and hopefully catch up with a few of you before the game.Enjoy the game everyone,do the team proud.
