I agree. I was looking forward to this weekend away but i'd rather the game be played on Saturday than the lads having to go mid week and then play a league game on the following Sunday

Because going by coach leaves them massively unprepared.
No-one can under estimate the effects long haul coach travel has.
Its equivalent to jetlag off a longhaul flight.

They should of cancelled the match, as far as I am aware they were offered a re-arranged game on the date of the next round which would of been on a weekend again, now very few fans if any to cheer on the lads

Well listening to IM on the radio tonight and he said it was the players who wanted to go. If they win then the next round means the cancellation of the Fev game, whilst a pp of the limoux game would ve created a scenario of posiibly 3 games in 8 days again. You know it makes sense for the club/players but not necessarilly to the unfortunate fans who were going.

If other games get cancelled and we end up playing and loosing, would there be a case for a replay?

I know full well how hard that trip is , I did a coach journey non stop to northern Spain , and I didn't have an overnight stop or the benifit of a luxury Charabang , the players will be fine , we need this game to go ahead now , to postpone and delay it could have serious consequences later in the season , yes it is a shame for the fans but this is an ' act of god ' , only he is to blame

Why ........ The clubs made a call on playing the game irrespective of the long drive, now unless the goons at the RFL make a judgement call the result should stand.

The lads are fit enthusiastic and well coached.

In the main we have a young side with the right balance of age and experience. A good nights sleep Friday and they will do us proud.

I will go and watch Swinton v Fax tomorrow then on Sunday listen to the draw and hope we get Wigan at the LSV.

Listening to all the coaches took about the importance of preperation then you'd have to say our preperation is now not ideal.
However like Starbug days its a act of god so unavoidable.

Personally I'd have still cancelled it & rescheduled it if I'd made the decision as its a risk going through all this for what was a dodgy fixture before the problems kicked off (2 large coach journeys, 1 today, 1 tomorrow when you didn't expect any will be a big factor for any club - let alone a part time one).
Equally If Aircraft are still grounded tomorrow Leigh will end up coming back via the same route as Airline backlogs will take 4 days to clear which then jepodises next weeks preprations significantly IMO.

7pm Salford Cathedral on Chapel St or you could pick me up at Atherton Railways station. PM me Steve if you fancy going too ok.

On the other hand if you get to Manchester we could go on the tram from Victoria Station and you could get the last bus back to Leigh.
