A town centre ticket office is out of the question posssibly due to running costs and H&S logistics so its back to square one

It's easy turn up early buy a ticket (yes I ahve a season ticket) and go to Leigh East, cheap, beer, chips, burgers, curry then go to the game.

the only reason for the queues last sunday was that so many saddos wanted to watch the waste of space on TV before the REAL game, it was their own fault.

No sympathy for them ones.

Rarely have successful businesses been built on the philosophy of making it as hard as possible for the consumer to obtain a product. Successful businesses take great care to give good value products. Value is not only measured against money but the difficulty in obtaining the product too.

One time I was at the ticket office on Saturday and the bloke in front said he’d travelled from Northwich to get the tickets as he couldn’t get there in time to pick the tickets up on the Sunday. This fan, then, made two return trips from Northwich to Leigh in order to go and watch Leigh. He and three friends had only decided to go the day before (probably down the pub) so posting tickets out wasn’t an option. If I’d have been this bloke, I would have sacked the idea. For me, the extra car journey would have tipped the balance and I’d have stayed at home.

Value per Investment = (Quality of Product) / (Cost of Product) = (Matchday Experience + Quality of Rugby + Results)/(Price of ticket + time spent obtaining ticket)

Common sense says that we need to increase the Value per Investment which means increasing Matchday Experience, Quality of Rugby and Results whilst reducing the price of tickets and time spent obtaining tickets as far as possible. Since it’s probably unrealistic to reduce the price, you’re left with the following as a strategy....

And if everyone arrived 10 minutes earlier there would still be a queue.

Fred, I suspect that even you realise you're talking rubbish here.

If the only answer to the problem is to get there earler then we should be looking at ways to intice fans to come earlier (cheaper beer, and I know it's not the clubs area)). Personally I hate being on the last minute.

Our kid picked our tickets up at 12-30 and was back in the pub for 12-40 ( what some folk will do to be last at the bar ) we then watched Loonypools cup final , laughed a lot , and went into the match no problem

But seriously Fred / Andy / Dave are there any plans to sell tickets on-line or is it not cost productive ?

Although I don’t have a problem (being a season ticket holder) not everyone arrives late because of Pub/Football, I watch my son play on Sunday’s usually scheduled to kick off at 11:45, but with late KO's, stoppages/injury time, it can sometimes be 13:15-13:30 before it finishes, then wait for him to pamper himself, get fed etc, it’s often gone 14:00 before we’re heading home.

Having said that this season we’ve done well, Leigh’s home games have coincided with his home games, so I’ve been on the last minute because I’ve had time to go for a pint.

In Limerick you can buy Munster tickets in any pub displaying a Munster flag.

Centurion/East/Miners/Golborne additional ticket outlets?

Canning's is still petitioning on behalf of Leythers, ask them to support the club by flogging tickets?

Thats a nice, simple idea. Give the pubs a small commission, it encourages them to sell the tickets to fans, in fact it encourages them to push the tickets harder.

We should make tickets easier to buy, sell in selected pubs & shops Sat/Sun to reduce crowds on a Sunday, add 50p to the price to compensate the sellers.
BUT
What about North Stand ticket holders approaching from St Helens Road!
We are told to go to the other end of the stand to get in as our tickets have to be swipped. Arriving at the other end we find no scanner and admission through the turnstile.
Why cant we have a season ticket gate on each end of the stand - it wont cost more than a tenner for an hour and a quarters pay.

Folk will always find something to moan about, we all know that.

But what sort of business makes it harder for the customer to hand over his money? I can see a logical reason why you need tickets to get into Old Trafford, but none for LSV when its a run of the mill game with a couple of thousand on.

It just does not make sense making folk queue up twice when they dont really need to.

Surely someone cleverer than me and thee can see that if folk are queing up then they're not spending money in the ground.

we all know the lsv are not going to change policy so one either doesnt go or gets there early those are the only alternatives they have made a rod for their own back by allowing money entry for the couple of games that they did, but thats their problem, they run the place full stop, the club arent happy about it the fans arent happy but all the writing on here wont wash with them, get your complaints on paper send them to Allan Rowley and he will question the lsv management, that or get them down to a lisa meeting to explain why and hope some fans attend to question them.
Now about the state of those pies................... (well it MUST be turn for that topic to rear its head as there is already a big fast winger thread about)

All in all it makes no difference to me as a season ticket holder, but if I remember I'll bring it up when I call in that brew with LSV over the catering.

In all fairness to them, they appear to be willing to answer questions if put over properly.

TVs need volume turning up in the concourse.

Just be grateful we've got one in the North, the prawnies in the West still have to make do with watching Dogger Walls.

Went in West stand for Miners game which was 1st time and never took notice of TVs if there or not. We are lucky then.
