I don't care what side we've put out and for whatever reason but that's bloody awful.

Having said that I did predict we'd lose 52-12 on another thread so I wasn't far wrong.

i didnt say they were shouting but the commentator picked up on it when watson dropped the ball so it must have looked bad??
Personally no i wouldnt we were never going to win and didnt we get nilled by the other super league team we played this year??? we arnt very potent in attack in the championship so no surprise at getting nilled...
I expected 70 so we didnt do to bad BUT i want them to play as a team and lose as a team so if they were guilty of doing something i dont think it looks good...just my opinion and after all thats what a forums for isnt it????

Exactly what i said Snowy thought it was a game we could have done without just hope we came out of it with no injuries plus hope they can pick themselves up for Easter .

not been on this forum long but am beginning to think you cant have any opinions if they dont fit?? at no point in this thread have i slated Leigh just made observations..couldnt go tonite because of work first one i have missed this season like i have said before i love Leigh just dont like hearing things like that on the radio!!! it concerns me team spirit is a massive thing in any sport!!! and so is commitment...

i wouldn't get too dispondent after last weeks game against Saints and them feeling they didn't perform enough we were busting a gut to get out on the field and wollop someone tonight, think most Super League clubs would have gone away from Belle Vue tonight after a thumping.

We all have opinions and Leigh were never to get anywhere near that Wakey side.

Don't forget, they beat Wigan and put nearly 50 on Warrington already this year.

I am as dissappointed as everyone else, but as long as we gave 100%, thats all you can ask.

Must admit it did't sound good on radio about Watson but probably players very frustrated about the match overall.

Well I was at the game and as expected we were well beaten but knock ons cost us,and particularly in our 20 metre area.

The team were not falling out amongst themselves and with 20 minutes left of the second half Wakefield were frustrated by good Leigh defence. They scored a try in the second minute of the second half then got 2 tries of our knock ons with 19 and 17 minutes to go.

Wakefield as you would expect were faster and bigger so the result was no surprise and in truth Wakefield did play some pretty good stuff.

Armistead was on the field in the warm up as was Durbin and both will probably start next week. Marsh Higson and Madden were missing and in their places we had Haggerty Reay and Smith.

Haggerty was stand off and had a better second half. And I thought Reay was our best back.

For me though I think Donlan is wasted in the centre and would prefer him full back with Stanton and Mort on the wings and Reay Rudd/Higson in the centres or maybe Higson in the pack.

For me our mom was Chris Hill. Not too bad but like I said I wasn,t expecting a close game. Most of our fans stayed till the end to clap our lads off.

Rourke and Meekin took knocks, dont know how serious. Durbin was 18th man so that says he wasnt injured.

Pretty fair assessment there Frank but when Reay went through in the first minute I thought 'we're gonna win by 50 here'

I dont think we broke their line after that.



Top and bottom is we kept going, our defence was very good at times but we gave maybe 4 or 5 tries away due to losing the ball in daft positions. But, we're far too small and too slow to compete with what I thought was a suprisingly good (better than I expected) SL team.

Oh, and they had at least 3 more men on the pitch.

If I had one main worry its that I dont think anyone knows what our strongest line up is. Theres a lot of chopping and changing, for fair reasons in all honesty, but I would be hoping it can settle down over the next few games.

And even that was a mile forward

Good call Frank. C Hill was outstanding agian tonight, this lad should be playing Super League. The effort was there for everyone to see tonight. Fitness, speed and strength were the main differences between the two teams but courage and determination wasnt lacking from the Leigh team tonight. Weel done lads.

It was a manful effort from the pack. I agree with Frank, Chris Hill had a very good game but I also felt that Rourkey, Morrison and Meeks had good games.

The mistakes in our own half put us under loads of pressure and at least 3 of their tries came from errors by our back three.

I was very happy with the commitment but felt we didn't really have much ball in attacking areas of the field and Wakefield scored 4 of their tries in the last twenty minutes.

With Marsh, Maden and Higson all pulled from the line-up at short notice this left holes but despite the score, our defence was very good in places. Brough and Obst dominated for Wakey who named the same 17 that played against Saints the week previous.

I felt that Phil Kinsella was a little bit harsh on the lads and I said to him that if this side finishes top 4 in the Championship we'll have done very well this year. But fair play to him, that's his opinion and his dog isn't half cute!
