| Quote ="Leyther14"Should be a great game two in form teams. Hull look like they are going to push up the table. Wakefield looking even more out of touch with Cas and Hull improving. A blow re Reynolds and Nisbet. Two games harsh for Ben as he already effectively missed one. Nisbet is particularly annoying as no intent in that not sure how you control how you both fall when in a tackle!. Hopefully Kai is ok to return and opportunity for Mellor at stand off, will prob mean more game time for Davis and Wilde. [uAny news on Frankie Halton?[/u'"
Looking like 3 to 4 months out.

| In seriousness, bit worried that this one may prove a bridge too far. Uncle Smith finally stamping his mark on the FC team. Then again Ol' Pa Lam's Leigh just keep on surprising and delighting us. Can't wait!

| I think this will be a nail biter of a game nothing in it with 15 mins to go . Hull fans are confident after the wire game they played poor last time against us yet the score was pretty close so they have no fear for this one , however Leigh have ramped it up since then and have been the comps form team we have the carrot of possibly hitting 3rd in the table wow, who would have said that a few months ago ! Leigh 18 hull 14

| Prediction time. 28-16 to the good guys but close until 60+ minutes.
We will need to bring a high completion rate and be patient enough to not try to force points early in both halves. We will also have to be strong in defence in every area of the game. Hull are playing well and are confident, but we are still a team that has the ability to turn up the intensity when others begin to tire.
I agree that Lam/Mellor seems the way to go, and I’m sure that will have been practiced all season for just this scenario. Mellor looks fit, has a point to prove and a chance to stamp his quality in a key game. This Amy actually work in our favour. Hull have lots of tape on Lam/Reynolds, but not Lam/Mellor.
My biggest concern would be if we are without Kai, with Nisbitt also not available. Kai is a key player in attack and defence. He is a huge part of our pace and intensity. We need that/him on Friday to give us an edge in a close game.
On another note, get down early and take in the Queen Tribute Band. They are really, really good, and I have a personal connection as the bass player (he should be wearing his best Hilda Ogden t-shirt and yellow shorts as per John Deacon) is my nephew (brother’s son). I recommended them to Derek and he made it happen. Trust me, you will be entertained, they really are amazing

| I believe Jacob Jones has been recalled from Widnes. Due mainly to a lack of pack options.

| Well if the fringe players are in for some game time then I'm sure they'll do a good job if needed , hoping kai is back this week and that our lack of numbers is down to the 2 suspensions ( 19 man squad I believe if true )O Brian took a knock at the weekend so hoping he,s fine which should keep that formidable back line in tact

| Prop forward Dan Norman has linked up with Leigh Leopards on a two-week loan.
The 25-year-old will be available for Adrian Lam’s side for their upcoming game against Hull FC at the Leigh Sports Village on Friday night.

| Hopefully the only change in the thirteen on the field is Mellor for Reynolds. I watched Wire v Hull game and I didn’t really see too much that made me worry about this game. I thought Wire where clunky in attack and didn’t defend kicks well, and some bad mistakes as well, which Hull took advantage of.

| As close as I'd have hoped for.
Big minutes by Mulhern with Ipape and Asiata doing the full 80.
It wasn't a classic by any means, not that it wasn't entertaining, it was very much like to form teams feeling each other out for more of less the whole match.
I'm happy for Joe, he's tackle caused the knock-on which he scored the final try from with a great scamper like he was doing all of last season. I'm hoping he only went down with cramp and nothing more serious.
Wondering what the result of the O'Brien hit on Clifford will be, as clearly he was out of it and didn't return and from my viewpoint I couldn't see if it was just a good hit or late or high or whatever.
Thought Ava and Matty went well off the bench too, the latter especially has some aggression going forward and really is looking to off load too.
Hull looked good when we looked rough but luckily I felt we looked good and they looked rough more often. At times Hull did seem to be their own worst enemy, gifting up yards with back-to-back-to-back-to-back penalties at one point, good we capitalise on most occasions.
Thaler does like to let the game flow, which means he misses quite a lot of offsides, but I can deal with that. I think tonight was a case of home advantage really paying off.
A good long rest till York and well deserved as that was a tough game.

| I have no idea how really we played but the Radio Humberside commentators were impressed and this is a very, very good win.
I would personally now rest a few for York (we can do that and win) then go all for the Cats game. We could be top in a couple of weeks time. (Pinch self and read what I just typed )

| Clumsy tackle. Clifford slipping. Think Charnley will be lucky to escape a ban. Pass slightly forward but easily missed. We won, that's what matters.

| Well, Lam had the habit of not resting players last season. He likes to keep the same 13 together as much as possible. We'll see. Joint top. Who'd have thought it haha. Brilliant! Wonder if we'll score 100 again?

| What is really impressive about this win, is the fact that we have beaten the other form team of the moment, with a halfback pairing that have hardly played together this whole season. Yes, Joe is a quality half, but to win with the halves freshly put together says a lot about how resilient we have become. We are also very close to seeing 2-3 players coming back into contention, who will be desperate to regain their spots.
Leyth life is good ight now, and I think it can get even better in the weeks to come.

| Great win that especially with the injury doubts and Joe coming in for Ben .mellor really does add a different attacking option to which must be a pain for the opposition, dare I say it a few mistakes did let hull come back in to it so the perfect 80 performance is still to come throw in another couple of levels that Lammy says is in us then there no limit to what these guys can achieve.

| Great win after short turnaround. Lot of mistakes and 2 tired teams late in the game. Couldn’t quite shake a determined Hull team who look like they could climb the table and leave Cas and Wakey adrift. Amazing defence and resilience late on the hold out Hull on our line, Joe with great individual try to put icing on cake. Joint top after15 games amazing. Great atmosphere.
