4 of us go out 8.30 Friday morning from Manchester (Air Transat). Coming back Monday, should be a good un. A bit different from Batley away!

I can't make this Saturday due to prior arrangements, could any of you who applied for the travel permits to Canada advise me how long they take to be granted, I would probably take in the next fixture which may be in the qualifying 8's or could be the MPG but neither is a definate yet, and it would/could be very short notice of game time from the fixtures being advised.
Is it possible to obtain the permits in a week?

It takes about ten minutes online. Use the official Canadian site rather than 3rd party. You’ll get stung otherwise

I did the trip to see the Broncos at Wolfpack 3 weeks ago and had a great time. The stadium is easy reach on the street car from downtown and there are plenty of pubs close to the ground. Inside beer is on sale everywhere and the beer garden behind one end is great and open for 2 hours afterwards, but actually stayed open for longer. Wolfpack fans were great, and really appreciated the effort made to visit. You will have a great time. Enjoy.

Three of us leaving Friday morning and get back into Manchester Tuesday morning. Can’t wait.

The biggest attendance at a Toronto home game was just over 8,500 against Doncaster last season is it possible the Leigh game will beat that.
Toronto are offering-season ticket holders take a friend free-one adult match day ticket admit's four kids free-Its also Canada Day weekend which may also help increase the attendance.

As long as we smash them off the pitch,I couldn't care less about Torontos marketing or attendance. But each to their own..

I was thinking about the Leigh support wondering if the many ex Leythers living in the Toronto area may take advantage of the offers and turn out to support their team of birth.

Well, firstly, as an expat myself, I can tell you that there's no such thing as an ex-Leyther

. And I highly doubt there would be enough ex-pat Leythers in Toronto to make a huge difference to the attendance on Saturday.

Also have tickets for the game - will wear my Leigh shirt so see if you can spot me amongst the 30,000 or so! We'll be in the 500 level - the cheap seats



Hope you enjoy it - actually quite a difficult sport to watch if you don't know the intricacies of the game - bit like cricket in that respect.

Top tip - beer and food are VERY VERY expensive inside the stadium - you are looking at $11 (about 6 quid) for a beer (not a pint either). If you look under 25 you will need ID to buy alcohol (passport). You can't bring alcohol in the ground, but you can bring food. I often buy a hot dog from a vendor outside the ground as they are half the price.
