Nothing has changed then from the move from Hilton Park but i'd say there was a few feet differnce in the distance between the bus station and LSV than HP. Still no need to put this in a paper.

To be honest I,m not the only out of town Leyther.

We have discussed this at length and despite ringing the club and asking for a club representative to pick us up at a pub in Manchester on matchdays we are still waiting on the clubs response.

Well whatever, despite the deafening silence which is typical,we shall continue to follow our club through thick and thinner.

I am yet to hear any news of my suggestion of a charter flight from Bristol International on match days.

If the club wants to attract more supporters, then it needs to start thinking out of the box I feel.

Sometimes on the way home from the game I walk along the old railway lines that lead to St Helens Road.

Quite often my boots get muddy but nobody, I repeat [inobody[/i from the club has ever come round to clean then.

It's a disgrace.

That blodger Arthur Thomas passed me today on StHelens Road and didnt offer me a lift to Leigh whatever is it coming too having a fellow leyther catch a bus, I want my season ticket money back me.

cant remember the club putting buses on in the past for disabled supporters, i have a ingrowing toe nail would i qualify for free bus travel, come on Roy get a grip the facilities at the LSV are loads better than at "lovely " hilton park and the facilities for disabled are amongst the best in the country

I reckon Roy is moaning because he is really a Salford fan and is jealous that we've got a shiny new stadium and they haven't!

After reading Roys letter in the LE I would guess that he and others used to catch a bus to the Station in Leigh and found it then easier to catch another or easier then to walk to Hilton park than now get to the LSV

Having said that it would be interesting to know if we have asked any of the bus companies if they would consider running a ' Match special ' from either the town centre or further afield

Or better still ask the council why they arent doing it

, they do after all provide transport to the LSV on a daily basis for the disabled to the council run day/meeting room next to the reception area at the ground

I do not know if this is relevant to your situation or not but the one of the bigest mistakes Fax made when we moved from Thrum Hall was not puting on buses .We lost nearly 1,000 speccies just like that who were elderly and there was not a conveniant bus times on Sunday evenings back up to the Thrum Hall area.They should have put double deckers on for a season to get them used to coming down the Shay they could have charged them to travel.

My hands and feet are full of splinters and the stewards make me leave my cross outside

Irremevant to be honest as both Hilton Park and the LSV are about a half a mile walk from the central bus station all be it in the opposite direction, the buses issue is totally off the wall unless one lives at the side of the old HP site and even then they are only about half a mile apart.

LSV is further away from our house than HP, but we now walk or get dropped off and have a few drinks, when we were at HP it was drive there just in time for the game and then straight out of the dump and back home after.

I think the club should put on a barge from Butts Basin to LSV though.

I'll sort out some Gondola's , If you squint a bit it has the look of Venice as you go under Mather lane bridge

Was actually thinking t'other night that there should be a 'circular' bus running around Leigh, basically operating from the LSV-Parsonage-Asda-B&Q-town centre and back to the LSV. Little wonder that our town centre is so poor because people just don't have a reason to go there any more, whilst also helping us on a matchday



That said, there aren't even any public buses to the JJB these days since they discontinued the 540 starting from Robin Park, so I'm sure they'd be priority one for council pressure



Still think it's a disgrace that fans are expected to fork out petrol money to drive to the LSV, not to mention having to walk in the rain from the car park to the stadium itself, absolute joke and I certainly won't be renewing my season ticket next season unless I have a person brolly-holder to escort me from the car park.

Some funny comments but think if any of you suddenly became infirm or worse dissabled. Take in to account we probably have fans that have no one to drive them to the ground.

Hence the very serious part of my post




As I have said many times before , a council facility for the use of and for the benifit of the council tax payers of the borough , unfortunatley from Roy's point of view he is no longer a local tax payer
