Well said!! I posted last week that we may not have great team on paper but remember the team Tony Benson Had or we had last season? They were better by far on paper BUT they played with no pride no effort no comitment to the club or the fans IF we had of lost yesterday i hope everyone that was there would of been as proud as they were winning!

Spirit is immense. We are fitter and more committed than last season. Tenacity and spirit got us throughyesterday, and at Sheffield, Doncaster and against Whitehaven.

But just think what the addition of a couple of class players might do...........

If you don't get near to 3000 on a Bank Holiday in a derby now ,you might as wel give up.

Get real of course they would ,Wigan would of brought 4000 at least and Leigh would more than matched that.

i have to agree it would have been a lot bigger crowd than the friendly.

A Leigh-Wigan Challenge Cup tie would have seen 7-8000 at Leigh thats for sure and prob 12-14000 at JJB Stadium I reckon.

Lee was offered on a plate to Leigh. All Neil Kelly had to do was make a phone call to Wigan and Lee would have been playing for Leigh instead of Barrow.

Wigan have around 8 young players available to be loaned out. Maybe more. The proximity of Leigh to Wigan means that the Wigan youngsters always want to go to Leigh over other clubs because it enables them to more readily/easily combine training with their Loan club and Wigan. Even Lee resides in Wigan. Decent facilities also help.

Basically what Alan was saying is that Leigh have played Widnes away at Easter in 2007, 2008 and now 2009. When will we get a home Easter fixture against them?
