If your the coach on Sunday who do you select from our four halfbacks (Woods fitness unknown) bear in mind Widnes and York are two vital games and your halfbacks are expected to play the entire 80 minutes?'"
Well Kirky, plenty of theories and opinions of our best 17 for Sunday’s game against Widnes, here are my 17 if they are fit.
1.Mcnally.
2.Higson.
3.Brierley.
4.I Thorniley.
5.Sau.
6.Reynolds.
7.Brown.
8.Douglas.
9.Higham.
10.Clark.
11.Thompson.
12.Patterson.
13.Cator.
14.Hood.
15.Emmitt.
16.Brooks.
17.Either of the Adamsons.
Brierley a contentious choice,at centre but for me I would have him running off Browns passes.

Totally agree with Sa'u on the wing, for a guy of his experience in that position he doesn't half make some wierd decisions, if he can't run through the opposition it seems he is void of the skill factor to do anythibg else, he is like a poor man's Konrad Hurrell on attack and it is a toss up who makes the most mistakes, as for Brown I will not comment till I have seen him perform in a few games, if he can find anywhere near the form that got him his international selection he will be great, but as we have seen with a lot of players who step down from the SL they get quite a shock performing in the Championship with how hard it is.

| Brown has had reassurance he will play and is a structured HB for this reason Riddy would not complement him.
Question is who would?

Not sure! Technically they are all playmakers. I would say the pace needs to come from PTB now so probably Brierley given his pace.

I think Brown has come in to assist with the game management, he can play on both edges so we can get away with brierly as the other half

Charlie, I cant believe you'd play international Stand Off Brown at Scrum Half to feed Reynolds at Stand Off Whow , I'm certainly missing something when I try to understand that

Just my lateral thinking Kirky,I’m ready to give Reynolds a chance, though I’m not a big fan ,if Riddy is injured or needs a rest, and Woods isn’t available,we have a choice between Brierley ,Brown , and Reynolds at 6and 7,it’s a case of perm any 2 from 3, I’m sure Duffy may agree with you,as I say I’m ready to try anything.

| Well my view is this could actually prove to be a master stroke. Ridyard aside, there is no 'rugby brain' in the aforementioned list of current Leigh half backs.
Just my opinion.

| Your opinion is spot on Harold ! It would be a gamble to leave Riddy out for any of the others however if he needs to recover from niggles then Brierley would be my choice, on pace only ! Don’t always agree with Dave Parkinson MOM however in his Rugby League Express match report he gave Riddy MOM following a ‘Masterclass’ display !

| My first choice come playoff times for the halfback is Riddy and Brown. Don’t think numbers are important as they are both smart enough to work out who does what and when, and they would both back defences up with their skillsets. Also give us a real threat on the last tackle with their tactical kicking. Brierly for me is on the wing with Riddy and Brown fit.
For this weekend I would go as follows.
1.Mcnally.
2.Higson.
3.Sau
4.I Thorniley.
5.Brierly
6.Brown
7.Woods (Reynolds if woods not 100%)
8.Douglas.
9.Higham.
10.Clark.
11.Thompson.
12.Patterson.
13.Cator.
14.Hood.
15.Emmitt.
16.Brooks.
17. Either Adamson

| Toby Adamson would play before Thompson every time for me ! Mitch Clark would also play from the bench ! Both Clark and Thompson have their fair share of ‘ loose carry’s ‘ and they need to remove that from their game before the play offs when possession will be vital !
To be fair however, the entire team have squandered possession cheaply this season !

| Kevin Brown is an excellent signing for this stage if the season. He's played in a World Cup Final against Australia which they only won 6 - 0. He knows all about high pressure games. His experience will be invaluable. Even if he doesn't play many minutes, his knowledge and experience can only be good for the team. Well done DB for bringing KB in. I'm going to stick my neck out and say that I wouldn't be surprised if we spoil the Toronto or Toulouse party.

Why would you do that, his mere presence will make the half's we already have perform better and that includes Ridyard, he gives the coach another selection possibillity, I'm dissapointed that he is not on the bench tomorrow to few games left to sort out the best combination at 6 & 7, Duffy gets it's right and who knows what we can achieve.

Harry I’m realistic, he’s not played a competitive game of RL all season. Not even being named in the squad for Sunday is very poor marketing from the club.
Brown sends a statement out of how is raring to go and then Leigh don’t even select him.
Very poor..

Ur talking here about an England international who's played half for Wigan and Warrington also so I'm sorry it would not take him long to learn the plays and he was registered before deadline day, he said he's been raring to go for 3 to 4 weeks so he would have had a full weeks training to learn the plays,so unless someone's not being truthfully honest he should be playing straight away to get his match fitness up ready for the play offs were he could make a difference

So why isn't he playing? Does anybody know?
For me,there is no reason to risk him tomorrow.
If ,just if he pulls up,his signing will be in vein.
