| For what it's worth, here's my summary:-
Our defence was back to its pre-Wakefield levels. One tackle, by Stewart, to prevent Dobson from scoring, was incredible.
However, despite restricting a high-scoring team to just two tries, we rarely looked like breaching their well organised, uncompromising defence. We lacked guile, pace and penetration. This despite being given a fair crack of the whip by the referee, for a change. Salford created numerous repeat sets, and our handling (like theirs on a wet day) combined to starve us of possession for long spells. Hopefully, the return of Drinkwater, (or trying Hampshire at scrum half) Tonga, Hock and Paterson (?) may improve things. I'd also find room for Hood, who seems more capable of making a break, than Pelissier.
There will have to be changes on Monday. Brown presumably failed the concussion assessment, Ridyard was limping heavily, Higson was in the wars again, and Burr seemed absolutely shattered before he was taken off.

Salford put a kick behind the Leigh line on the 6th tackle. The ref was blocking McNally, who shoved him and just scrambled the ball dead. In my opinion they would have scored, had McNally not shoved the ref out of the way.
Shouldn't get more than eight matches, with an EGP!

Sorry Alan, overlapped posts there. Haven't seen it but happier for your contribution. It'll be interesting to see what Reffy thinks, especially as he's already broken rank once today. But, in our present predicament, all that counts is what is decided by the deemsters at The Hall. Fingers crossed. At least any ban can't come before Monday.
Can it?

| Tickle sounded like he dropped alot of ball at crucial times (ie Leigh win Penalty ) then dropped it first drive in . Highlights on sky conclude his defence and speed are there to be got at . Two tries scored by Salford and he was chasing headlights!!

Well considering he seemed to be covering centre it's hardly a surprise. Very unfair to single him TBH, put an aweful lot of minutes in this season, played full 80 on occasions IIRC, probably more than he and the coaches were anticipating.
With Hock back on Monday he may be due a rest

Although it isn't generally discussed in the media , our team is virtually picking itself ATM , possibly Hock , possibly Drinkwater both to return to the team today

| Only one certain to play is Gaz Hock as he was suspended today. The rest of the squad are walking wounded so its whoever recovers the best tomorrow and Sunday.

Leigh coach Neil Jukes post match: Gaz Hock, Mitch Brown, Josh Drinkwater "no chance" of playing against Hull on Monday. Ben Crooks had stitches on eye injury.
Also (out of our definite starters) Willie Tonga, Corey Patterson, & Antoni Maria

Well let's get behind whatever we can put out, keep the faith and consider the long term goal - Hull are no world beaters at the moment

My opinion also that Danny could do with a couple of weeks off , but he ain't going to get it
Good performance by them all today , possibly shove Higgy in at centre and have Hampshire on the wing against Hull l

Thought Hock was only out because of suspension?
If naughton can't play, and crooks is unavailable, we're looking at a line up of McNally, Hampshire, Higson, Dawson, Ridyard, Reynolds, Acton, Higham, Weston, Stewart, Vea, Hansen; Hood/pelissier, Hopkins, Burr, Tickle/green.
Desperately need more options in centre and second row. Maybe time to move Hansen back to second row?

Seems like the logical move IMO- but getting quite desperate to a degree.
ATEOTD, we will have to get by as we are IMO- strengthen for the business end as required, gunna be difficult with our run in, 10th the target for me

| After Hull game, only 4 more matches at home in SL. Will be amazed if we are not in the bottom 2. Warrington will win a few, Catalans will win more home games, Widnes have a lot of players to come back from injury (9 or 10) other than that, we should finish above Huddersfield if they keep Rick Stone in charge.....BUT if we can beat Hull on Monday, Huddersfield & Widnes should lose, the league table will look a little better....

Gaz Hock went off against Catalans with a dead leg, so he mustn't have recovered from it.

| Why, oh why did this injury crisis have to occur over Easter weekend? After twenty years of inactivity and alcohol, how could Bongser possibly get himself up to match fitness by Monday? He's also already eaten most of the kiddywinks' chowclt as he was disbarred from steak puds on Good Friday. Nearly tomorrow though an' t'puds're already in t'pan bobbin' in t'watter!

I will be more than amazed if we manage to get Paterson on to a field again, but please don't qoute me.
I have also been calling for Hampshire to get a shot at 7, certainly until Drinkwater returns, under the pretence of 'What is there to lose' but equally, albeit for differing circumstances, I would also be amazed at that occuuring any game soon.
