Please invest some time into learning the difference between "your" and "you're" and your/you're comment might make sense. My point is spot on. If Hock has 2 or 3 great seasons with Leigh before he retires it will not paper over the cracks. He is an immensely talented RL player who has chosen to fritter that talent away by acting like a knob for vast portions of his career.
Also.... If you think Jukes/Leigh are the reason for his upsurge in form then sorry but I'm not buying it. He's in last chance saloon and he knows it. It may be great for the average Leyther but as a neutral his career has been a massive disappointment.

Granted, Hock may be beyond an England recall.
As for your point about him being in 'last chance saloon', that could well be right too. Yet surely, there were many of the opinion that he was in exactly that drinking establishment when at Salford. To the outsider, it would appear that he didn't react very well to whatever was going on there, though? It could be that he identifies a professionalism in the coaching set up at Leigh, that he hasn't enjoyed elsewhere on his more recent travels. I'm sure that the history of RL is littered with players who have reacted better to the set up at one club, than at another? There are quite a few respected players at Leigh, both English and Antipodean, who speak very highly of the coaches there, and some of them are young enough not to be in the 'last chance saloon'.

It matters not a jot whether you have anything against the guy or not, you are obviously in point scoring mode. In the opinion of most, if not all, Leigh fans Hock is doing the business on the pitch, his previous career is irrelevant.

| Hats off to Jukes and what he has achieved. In regards Hock (although wouldnt have put it so bluntly) I do feel he has missed out on becoming a real star of the game and agree he should have been one of the first names on the England team sheet. But also this is rugby league we have all seen the should haves and could haves and we will see it again. Some dont find their feet like Hock has and disappear. It would have been a bigger shame had he completely gone off the rails and stopped playing. Needs to be applauded for settling and putting the performances he currently is in

How many international forwards are showing the commitment Hock has at the minute?

Not many at the moment! If his form keeps up i'd love him to be in the international squad. But would not having a rest hamper him next season?

| Scott Taylor? Outstanding for Salford and Hull the last 2 years. Maybe Hull fans might disagree as not seen much of him this season but based on the past 2 years then he should be ahead of a revitalised Hock. I think Hock needs to prove over more than 5 or 6 games that he's worthy of an international recall.

| Quote ="SaleSlim"Charlie knows...... Sweet FA about Rugby League. Chase is way more talented than anything you have in your squad at the minute. His problem is that he's a grade A bell-end and can be added to the long list of "all the talent in the world" players who p1ssed their careers away. If you think Brierley is anywhere near the level of a fully fit, fully focused Rangi you need your head wobbling. You can add Hock to the "what might have been" list as well.
You've made a great start to SL life tho and seem to be playing as a team. Look forward to a great game when we "welcome"
you to the AJ Bell....

What's even funnier about your post is you mentioning Rangi Chase . .. Laughable !!!. Hardly been on fire in a long long time and not a great example himself really is he ?

You're right. Former Man of Steel Rangi Chase is nowhere near the level of Brierley who has been tearing SL defences to shreds for years. Read the 3rd line of my post again and I think it quite clearly highlights why he isn't still at that level. Not sure where I said he was a great example either. Also not sure what you classify as "a long long time" but he had some superb games while at Salford, just a shame his personal issues got the better of him.

| Quote ="Bent&Bongser"SaleSlim, good morning. Gotta say that, with the exception of an en passant reference in the OP, nobody has spoken of Brierley bar yourself (most recently in your reference to the third line of your previous post (please see above)). Funnily enough, Bongser seems to recall Marwan gobbing off in the MEN about signing world class players "like Brierley" (a Salford fan). That didn't happen. You can probably get Rangi back. Cas don't want him or need him (yes, well done over the weekend - though Bongser is sure that you were not consulted on either team selection or tactics). But it would seem that RB is too wise
'"
HRH Bongser, my apologies, my response should have been aimed at your resident clown rather than the OP, who claimed all your departed players had been replaced with better. Lesson learnt and should read and engage brain before typing in future.
Despite Rangi's many failings, he is way better than any half you have at your club currently (and anything in SL IMO). However, he is a pain in the ar$e and a self-destructive, disruptive influence so no doubt your team is playing better with a less talented, yet more reliable & structured stand off pulling the strings. And no thanks, don't want Rangi back. Like Locke, Tim Smith & Hock, he was a bit of a gamble due to the baggage he carried and despite some unbelievable performances he just couldn't behave and concentrate on his rugby for long enough to flourish. Seems like (touch wood) Hock has now settled and, for his benefit, I hope he can see out the last couple of years of his career on a high.
Scary to think how much damage a team containing those 4 "mavericks" (on form) could cause...

SS , I stand by what I said , non of our ex-players including Chase would get into our current team, meaning we have replaced them all with better players, obviously it is only my opinion but I'm sure Jukesy wouldn't pick any of the said players, and remember we got shut of Chase. You Sir are more than welcome at the Tower Circus,as I think you could have a successful career there, with a red nose.

He came on after about 19 mins in the 2nd half, which has been about the same as in previous games.
Losing Drinky didn't help, and we lost direction.High tackles don't help us at all(Hock needs re-training how to tackle a bit lower). The ref didn't have the best of games, but we never did enough in the 2nd half to win the game, which we should have taken it away from them. And what was all that about ,kicking on the 2nd tackle?
