Reffy while I agree about your comment about fans who shelled out for the French trip, and I would have been there myself but I have another priority in a couple of weeks time. For me last ses ons Cup run although put a few quid in the Club's coffers ,cost us dearly when it came to the middle 8s ,as I feel the excersions of Cup rugby left us jaded, hopefully now we can concentrate on getting as high in the League as possible and getting most of our injured players back for the (Business End) of the season.I'm sure Jukesy and the lads will welcome a week off on the 8th May week end,and hopefully the boys can concentrate on the second half of the League Season, and then prepare for the middle 8s in a sharper body and mind.

| We need an experienced coach soon. apart from whitehaven and workington at home, we have not played well for 80 minutes yet, relying on quick scoring bursts in the second half. so derek b spends a fortune on signing quality players, rowley quits (why, we will never know) and says to neil 'fancy a go mate'. I doubt jukes will be in charge next season, infact if he is, then I will eat a hat, not my own, because I do not own one

We've been spoiled for a few years! A couple seasons ago we were relagated and saved by another teams unfortunate circumstances.
Yes we lost, but Wigan got stuffed at Wakefield, Leeds are massively underperforming, yet looking at the league table we're doing what we're expected. Bradford aren't, London haven't.
I'd sooner have the points on the table, look average than be bottom half, =#40BF00but throwing the ball around.'"
You need pace to do that.Hence the style of play has changed, along with the way of thinking!

Being spanked by Hull KR in the second half (namley Dixon), a caning by the ref at Salford, in addition to a few key injuries (Hock, Ridyard, possibly a few more) - it's evident the players lost it psychologically and didn't have the resources to respond to a defeat. Were they physically burnt out? Either way, they weren't good enough when it mattered. Did the cup run really have a negative impact on the middle 8's?

That's why we have the resources this season,to counteract everything you just stated,or have you been on another planet somewhere.

Have to disagree as you stated in a previous post we don't have speed, either in our best team or in the replacements.Good teams will try and get us stretched out wide.We must have the slowest set of backs in our division

I don't disagree with you prop, what was the fastest backs in the league last season has suddenly become the slowest.Last season was off the cuff and the backs enjoyed the glory.
This season so far the backs really haven't had a chance to get going, and yes I do say pace is missing, but simply because the pack is much better and everything seems to be up the middle. So if that's the way we are to stay, then we need wingers with a killer instinct.Catch it and put it down, but we can't have it both ways at present as the backs can't cope with the speed of the forwards.
Everyone of the backs has been left wanting and watching up to now. When last season it was the other way around.

| Yesterday we had a stinker.
Collectively our team somehow completely forgot how to catch or pass a rugby ball.
Jonny Pownall (who i rate highly) had a NIGHTMARE at full back. He dropped everything, his passes went everywhere. Toulouse scored their one try due to him slipping on his ar$e trying to deal with a kick and they picked it up and strolled over. We need Smith back (or McNally) as JP clearly isn't a fullback.
We stunk, but if the team was ill then it explains a lot.
Our defence wasn't bad, the effort was there (when you are stood 5 yards from the pitch you can hear the players clearly and they were trying) but sometimes you just have one of those days. Everything we did went wrong.
Toulouse impressed me, they were the best side we have played this season.
It has been a great weekend. Didn't expect to get soaked to the bone playing in the South of France though! Wasn't a cloud in the sky in the 1st half then 2nd half was thunder, lightening and the heaviest rain I have ever seen.
Also ended up getting drunk with the Toulouse Winger Kuni Minga in the Melting Pot after the match which was a laugh.
Great weekend, poor performance.
Glad this performance came in a Cup game. The league is what is important this season and we are top at the minute. Use this defeat as a kick up the backside and make amends next week at Fev.
Featherstone is going to seem a bit of a comedown after a trip to Toulouse

My feelings exactly on your club, I detest "whinging Pom" Smith and it goes back to his parachute days with Huddersfield and his almighty arrogance ! you wont win anything without Sandow however, with him, youll likely win the lot! hope not

Its easy to blame the coach when we lose however, the players are culpable too ! Jukes may be at fault I'll need to see the game first but beware! sacking the coach dosnt always bring about a remedy, check out HKR, they sack Chris chester who took them to Wembley last season, install Webster and lose to a lowly championship club at home ! meanwhile, Chris Chester goes from strength to strength at Wakefield

Allow me to be the first!
You've only got to see the drop in our dominance when Micky s off the field !
Beswick has many attributes however, playmaker is not amongst them !
The biggest loss for us was Penky he was our real inspiration !

I thought Higham looked lively against Toulouse. he tried to inject some pace but the others except for Whiting and paterson didn't support him. Disappointed with the Leigh attitude, they seemed sluggish and surpised at the line speed of the French in the first half. The game would have been all over at HT if the French hadn't fumbled three tries. Bad handling from both sides cost dearly. Scrappy game but the best team won in this one-off meeting.
Great to see the usual Leythers at the match yet again - you lot have the greatest travelling fans ever .
Big Derek B was great after the game, gracious in defeat - he gave the MOM Planas a signed Leigh shirt, top man.
