Well I'm feeling pretty upbeat. It was'nt our best performance by a mile but we did show that we can open up SL sides quite easily and score. No kicking game again today for me and defence was by far our worst of the season. At least we out sung them though. North stand take a bow again you were excellent. Todays crowd was 1000 more than last week. Says bundles about both last weeks following.

Think the way we are playing at the moment, Bradford or Halifax will beat us. Even when we played Warrington away in the cup, we gave them a game. But Salford (who were in botom 4 for a resaon) beat us very easily today. If we don't beat Wakefield next week, can't see us finishing in the top 5.

We're an inconsistent team. We can play awful, but we can also play well.

We're still a team that went unbeaten against Catalan and Wakefield, beat both Hull sides, Widnes, Huddersfield and Wigan this year. So regardless of our finishing position, we're no pushovers. I think you'll need to play better against Wakey who are much improved. If you turn-up thinking that it's a certain two points they'll win. Will be a nervy day for sure.

As long as the SL clubs keep beating the champ clubs it won't be over next week if we lose. However lose to a champ side and we are gone. The aim was SL, its moved that little bit further away these last two weeks. For what its worth after the 2nd half last week I thought we would get tatered today, but we are more than capable of beating Wakey. Salford are a far better team than 11th place suggests. Beat the champ clubs and hopefully Widnes will already be up before our game against them. I really hope it doesn't come down to points difference.

Yes Salford got £1.8 million and Leigh got £0.5 million. The clubs lower down the Championship only got £150k max and you have the cheek to complain about having to play Championship teams all season and being unable to condition your players!!! Incredible.

Yep 44 points against SL opposition means you can score quite easily, the object of the exercise though is to score more than your opponents, unfortunately you've shipped in almost twice as many (82 points) as you have scored, the one comfort you can take from that though is that if you don't redress the balance, you will probably out sing the visiting teams in the championship next season with the support you enjoy.

Quite so, but then again win or lose people can pack their bags as there is then a week break for the Cup Final.

I stated before the game started that a Leigh loss would not be the end of the World , well it's not our game next week most certainly will define what happens for our SL ambitions,to be honest ,RangI Chase ripped us apart today we allowed him to much space,not much went right for us and in parts we looked decent,however in my opinion a couple of our players are just not SL standard but that's life,at times our defence looked very brittle,I just hope the points difference doesn't come back to haunt us.
Next week is the acid test a MUST win game,maybe tinker with the line up, I thought Higham and Barlow looked good, I wish Ryan B would attack the line more often,but this game is gone now ,we move on to Saturday,hopefully with a positive attitude, Cmon you Leythers,the support today was great.

Well playing in the Qualifiers will help us immensely.......

Because they had a bad side and a bad coach, 10 signings and a proven coach and they're a different team.

Too much rubbish on this about change of game plan. Nothing wrong with our game plan, just our ability to execute it. Had we done that today it would have been closer. We had 4 tries disallowed due to poor execution. The only one I can 100% say was the right call was the forward pass, the other three where at the other end. Better execution and we score those tries. Haggerty then missed a very unexpected chance. On another day we score it. That's 5 tries, taking out any conversions that's 20 points. With a possibility of another 10 from the kicks. I do however think the difference today was rangi chase. He destroyed us, don't think had we done everything right in attack we would have won.

But that is my point! The championship is full of clubs getting bog all money and it's keeping standards way down. If top championship clubs had to play well for at least 50 minutes to win against most opponents in their league then those top clubs would stand a chance of raising their game and claiming a place in SL.

As it is, the top sides need only play for 20 or 30 minutes to beat their opponents.

Well iv'e not been happy with our defence for some time,and it showed again today. Never mind, next week is another chance to put it right.

Well I wasn't expecting to win either of the first two games, and I don't think any leigh supporter with any knowledge of the game would either

Today saw Salford field it's first choice 17 for the first time since April, and at that point they were 4th in SL. That said I can't help but be disappointed by the margin of defeat. Not so much that I wasn't expecting it (I predicted a 30 point margin) but the sheer lack of intensity from some players in defence was shameful.

Clearly some players know they won't be dropped, and quite what our young guns need to do to get a game remains beyond me. Acton and Spencer would have added some much needed desire in the pack, Sarsfield is one of the most gifted ball handling back rowers I've seen for a long time and Pownall when selected this year has been our best winger bar none.

I won't bag the players who aren't in great form, they probably know it, but at some point soon a change is needed. A starting front row with a combined age of over 100 might work for leeds but sadly not for us....

Leigh were awful. That is not a Superleague team. Some fans are far too arrogant.

Jeez, little Leigh have the 'audacity' to beat 2 SL teams in the challenge cup, and be leading Warrington away at half time in the Q/F. Lose 2 league games in the last 2 seasons, so a few Leigh RLFANS get a little carried away. Salford aren't a TOP 4 side are they, like Marwan expected last season ? So, do Super League sides ever put 40+ points past one another ? Don't think they do, judging my some SL trolls comments on visiting our forum. It's like 'how bad are Leigh' all of a sudden. Credit where it's due I think, but maybe not. One of the trolls on here Chissitt (from Wakefield) we had a few exchanges, but I decided to end it, and paid his club a compliment. He ignored that, because he is a keyboard warrior with no balls, and continues with his delirium on here.
