Asides from that, after Kurt Haggerty was tackled near the line, Fax's Bracek punched him while he was on the floor, after that there was a mass brawl, in which Halifax had 2 players sent off, and Leigh 1. it takes 2 teams to create a mass brawl, but have to admit it was ridiculous.

We did today what Bradford did against us. We let them get under our skin. Nobody can defend 2 sendings off when we were in possession. We have to be smarter and not rise to the bait.

We will potentially have 3 banned for a tough game against Fev. To make matters worse, Fax will probably have a couple banned against Bradford.

Personally and taking my Leigh glasses off, we can't keep blaming it on the opposition. We have a problem and the have to be able to handle it without resorting to thuggery, that is what a head butt is after all.

The more brawls like this happen, the more clubs are going to try and drag us in to a scrap and on you go from there.

Armstrong nuts somebody in front of the linesman and rightly get sent off. Then Haggerty commits the cardinal sin of giving away a penalty while in possession and all hell breaks lose.

As much as I agree with the notion of "one in, all in", we've just got to be so much smarter to take a step back and laugh things off instead of being all too happy to jump in with two fists flying.

That's all in addition to giving away a hatful of technical penalties and offsides in the first half when in reality it should be us forcing such penalties from the opposition rather than the other way round. We might have got away with it for the last fortnight, but the next few weeks are going to be a huge ask and we need to limit every penalty that we can, never mind reserving a car park space at Red Hall.

Leigh really let themselves down. You play some beautiful rugby when you feel like it.

The discipline is really bad and has been for 3 or 4 years. There's many a time when we have handed you your backsides at POR that I've gone away thinking that if you'd just cut out the sutpid and thuggy stuff, you'd be a decent team.

From where I'm sat, it started when you coach took over, it's how he played the game.

There were two teams on the pitch today,both equally dealt with by the officials.Brawl 3 minutes,rugby 77 minutes I dont call that a game of thuggery.

He didn't need the word "allegedly". It's a matter of fact and an entirely natural phenomenon .... controlled rather than caused by drug usage.

Best post on the Leigh board in ages. Leigh are a very good team, they are also a very dirty team.

He butted him because he was like a baby who someone stole his toys, he plays for Leigh he cant have someone getting the better of him and when they did that is what he did.

Everyone saw it was Bracek but it will be interesting to see the video because our coach seemed to think it was Calahane. He also talked about self preservation quite a lot before the brawl happened, he also said he had watched the video and had a completely different view of the incident to everyone on here so lets see........ Oh and by the way the video will show how far forward Leigh's first try was wont it?

I dont buy in to all the rumours about the half the Leigh players been on the juice, I think for most of them its probably an ego problem, they play for the best team in the league and they want to show who is boss. That for me is natural for any top sportsman but unfortunately for Leigh they do have some that are not good enough and it does rear its head in the form of niggles and cheap shots like it did today.

It isn't Stevo's rule, it's the one belonging to the laws of physics. Watching it back on the video and looking at the pitch markings, it maybe drifted half a yard forward, but that doesn't necessarily mean it was passed in a forward motion.

Baffles me, the forward pass law. To a simpleton like me, if the ball ends up in front of where it was passed from, it's gone forward. Or is there something more complicated, that I should be aware of?
