Worked last time dint it ?

Still a bit undecided on the cup format this year. I do like the way they don't have to seed the amateurs so they have to play a Championship which helps them but looking at this round it does seem a bit unfair to have so few lower clubs against SL. I suppose it's difficult to do it to make the numbers work, wonder how else you could do it making the number work (always thought there must be a fancy mathmatical name for numbers you can halve down to 1).

We're going to be playing a midweek game soon after the tie because it clashes with our home game against Hunslet so I'd like for us to have it as easy as possible in order to give some of our players a rest. I don't buy the argument that to be the best you have to beat the best because the best (in this comp) will only meet in the final.

Fev, Batley, Dewbury Or York at home

I think every round of the cup clashes with a league fixture from this point. So will have a midweek game for every round we progress in.

It does and that's why I say that an easy draw would be better for our players as we'd need to rotate them all. I want us to go as far as we can in the cup but not at the expense of our league position.

A re arranaged home game against Hunslet is no problem, anybody know what date the quarters are scheduled for?

I reckon our overall squad is more than capable of winning the league and going on a good cup run. In fact, the momentum of winning and playing big games will suit us down the the ground come the 8's.

Plus, more games means more rotation. And I'm all for that - giving fringe players a chance - especially against Championship opponents.

If we are to promote ourselves as SL contenders,it's not really time to be shying away from any team..

I wouldn't mind Fev at the LSV.

The only one I REALLY don't want is Catalan away, other than that not massively fussed. Obviously rather have a home game & I do think after London & Salford (probably nearly the hardest draws we could have had) deserve a bit of an easier draw this time, would rather us get through to the quarter finals & pull off a really big upset at home in front of the TV cameras then.
