Unless I've been kidnapped as well folks in the last 30 years I make it we've been in the top flight around 6 years of the 30 and been relegated in at least 3 of those seasons if not 4.

So I'm really struggling to understand why anyone thinks we can't certainly beat any of those previous 30 years....

Ste, you got carried away when Arthur took over, and while the club is now well placed to have a tilt at getting into SL, it is no way a ' given ' , and retaining that place and remaining solvent and reasonably competitive is much harder

Just for your information I resigned from the PSG whilst John Roddy was still the Chairman so I'm not sure why you would think I'm somehow bitter about the fact that he's no longer in charge. Yes I was equally exited when AT took over and had the RFL not been run by the most incompetent CEO at the time we would have certainly made SL.

Now there is a clear pathway on how to get to SL, it's amazing idea really were by results on the pitch matter and not who you take out for dinner!!

We have to triple our fan base, simple as, next season gives us an opportunity to start that process, but it wont happen without a huge effort, only time will tell if we are up to the challenge

In this case Dan doesn't count no, just like you, Andy, Trevor, Alan and Jackie didn't count. There was only ever one man who counted on this board and he now has his team of yes men firmly behind him.

Don't disagree gates need to improve Steve and I'm confident they will in the structure. Realistically you can't achieve SL gates until your in it though.

You've come out with some very bold statements on this thread so far, so I look forward to this (and my glass is realistic rather than half full/empty btw)

Find it all a little bit depressing that folk can find themselves in the 'inner sanctum' so to speak and have public fallouts as we've seen a few times over the past few months/years. In fact I'd go as far to say that sometimes people can find themselves getting in a bit too deep in to the overall running of the club rather than just sitting back, enjoy the ride and trust those in positions of responsibility to get on with it in the club's best interests and without meddling or agendas from elsewhere.

The progress the club has made in the last 12 months is astounding so let's give folks their due and let them get on with it.

Just hope and pray those who have 'took charge' have the resources made available to them to succeed and of course fan's bums on seats will be a major factor in the club's success in this regard

Agreed, except I can understand the PoV that doesn't like seeing us reliant on the generosity of an individual. Individuals and their funding can and do disappear very quickly for a wide variety of reasons.

simple mate, nowhere near it means we wont be playing in it in my opinion. So take your pick 1st to 3rd.....

So long as off the field we build (Not just carry on) in community, with brand increase and general overall making the club bigger and we continue to be managed well then we should be ok.
Can understand anyone getting giddy about SL (and why not - sport is about hoping for the best for the club you follow) but lets just enjoy the week to week stuff as next year we won't be the biggest fish in the pond and a few of those other clubs are looking tidy outfits as well.
However I'll take a lot of positivity over the 'will we have a team to start the season' we've had too many times in our recent history........can't wait for the season

Opinions are good, my opinion is that you are getting a bit giddy. As things stand my opinion is that I will gladly take 5th of the middle 8 at this stage.
