Had a good chat after the game in the whistling wren with a few away fans. Great bunch and they sung a song for us in welsh. Was really touching and a nice thing to do. Thought that the fans and the players did their club proud.

I chatted to a few before the game and without exception they were smashing.

I thought the Cru fans sounded great today and definitely out-sung the North Stand.

Whereas the West Stand Leythers were in tremendous voice once again.

I was surprised there was no response from the 'Top of the league you're havin a laugh' chant - and especially the 'You're crap at singing' song.

When the North Stand did sing/roar, it sounded great and was very loud - there just wasn't enough of it.

I don't think the type of rugby we played helped - so boring. And the idiot in the middle didn't help by frustrating us every few minutes.
Why have we gone back to one man rugby (as at Keighley)?

That was frustrating. Yet, when the ball was moved wide, it was very effective. (i.e. Adam Higson's three virtually identical tries)

I have said on another thread the ref did not give the full 10 metres at the play the ball for both sides and consequently it slowed the game down.

One thing that did annoy me about Crusaders yesterday was practically every play their players threw their hands in the air and shouted to the match officials.

Well it seemed to put the ref off his game so I suppose it worked.

You're assuming that George listens to the players! Personally, I often think he's in a world of his own

- although he did seem to react in our favour, when we West Stand residents stirred ourselves to shout 'Forward!'
