Scrap the play offs altogether, they are meaningless and pointless. It is a competition for eight teams that attracts very little interest and the attendance figures are embarrassing. Add the prize money to the rewards for finishing in the top three and promote the Champions.

I usually attend the Grand Final and it is a great day out.

Unfortunately (for yourself) they are here to stay. They also provide compelling TV viewing and advertising revenue. Additionally they are the most intense Rugby League matches of the domestic calendar across all Rugby League divisions culminating with two consecutive golden point games in the championship alone.

But the league is pointless also with having the play offs . Whoever finishes top of the league should be crowned champions .This is not sour grapes by any means but I don't think a club finishing in 5th can honestly be the champions ,its the same in SL . The top 8 is far too many clubs ,top 5 with league leaders straight to final( if there are to be play offs,) as their reward for finishing top .

Think you'll find that 2015 season will be completely different ie bottom 4 of sl join top 4 of champ for a mini league to decide which 4 teams will go into sl for 2016

However I do not have proof either that the world will continue tomorrow either but I would say the odds are about the same as the Rugby League play off's continuing next year I would say.

No proof, just my opinion. As we have used play off's to determine who goes up into Super League previously, I see no logical reason as to why the same system will not be used in the future.

Although the top team in Championship One is automatically promoted, and does not figure in the play-offs. There's consistency for you.

Player availability for upto three end of season games, a stroke of good or bad fortune, key players injured or a crucial decision should not be preferred as a means to decide promotion over a system that rewards the team finishing top of a league that includes playing all opponents twice.
Playoffs were first introduced when all teams didn't play each other equally now it is just an unwanted gimmick. In my opinion of course.

Equally I don't think people turn up for them anymore as the gates through all the leagues are pretty poor when it comes to play off RL.

Don't mind having a end of season cup competition but I'd prefer the league to return to how it should be which is the team that wins the most matches week in week out is the one we call the Champion and each weekly round being of vital importance win or lose.

I agree with you also jenky. Maybe the winners of the league do go up but still have an end of season cup comp with a pot of gold for the winner.
