Ha ha guilty as charged

Like I posted earlier I don't usually have a go at the team when they loose but today I was more annoyed at them throwing away a 22-6 lead than anything else ,I thought we deserved a better ending to the league thats all .

Whilst we are on the subject 'Of hangs your head in shame' I think the people who left without staying and applauding the lads today in the last league game of a long hard season, which saw us lift the NRC final on the back of a monumental effort and top league campaign, should really be the ones who take a long hard look at themselves.

I and my mucker Arthur stayed to show the lads our appreciation of this season's efforts, unfortunately other than a small sprinking of supporters we were almost alone in the North stand as the players came over.

Rugby League they say is a game of opinions. It is rather ironic then that my thoughts on today is that overall our fans let the players down.

Well me and my son stayed and clapped them off but the players looked a tad embarrassed and probably just wanted to get off the pitch

Fair enough' but Harold we will disagree on this one.

The last time I did not clap our lads off was when we lost 12 40 against Gateshead.

I am not pleased with todays result irrespective of it making no difference to our league standing.

Today was shamefull in terms of team performance and I back our lads every game during a game but they let themselves and us fans down today.

Be assured however I will be clapping them off for our last game of the season irrespective of the result.

Would rather save good performances for the big games, if I had to choose. The reality is that it is hard if not impossible to keep intensity for every fixture, especially one where only a bonus point was required.

The club will save a few bob and the team will want to make amends the next time they play. So not a disaster all in all.

Still should have won though!

I wasn't there today but I will say this. Now is the time that we need to be putting in good performances to get a good following for - hopefully - the GF and into next season. I really hope that players who are not being retained don't know already.

We lost to Sheff..Batley & Dewsbury 3 out of 4 not very good for a team hoping to get to a grand final there has to be a massive improvement from each and every player to even contemplate such a dream and a change of tactical plays from the coaching team to get the lads playing to their strengths and weaknesses of the oppo teams

Came in from t'match and switched t'computer on to have a right go, then thowt better of it and went to eyt mi lobby.

Have calmed down a bit now.

It appeared to me that we thowt we could score whenever we liked so were throwing t'ball around like Harlem Globetrotters at times. Yes we scored a very good try early on, but even then IMO we butchered the chance on the left so had to do the Hollywood stuff on the right hand side to get over. Then Maden had a clear run to the line (virtually identical situation to Jonny Pownall's try) but he chose to basketball it inside and t'chance was lost. If I remember right there was another butchered chance on the left (can't remember what exactly happened) and even when Tommy Goulden scored he was not going for the try but looking to pass and just fell over t'line.

I said to t'chap next to me "these missed chances could cost us", but at 22-6 it just seemed a matter of how many. But we just did not respect possession - wonder what our second half completion was?

Disagree with somebody upthread who said Dews were a good side - they offered honest toil and a good attitude and a few big hits from Aizue and that's about all. When they got it back to 22-12 it visibly lifted them and from then on in they just wanted to win more than us.

Still, it could be a good thing. We got what we needed, a bonus point, and hopefully we've got a dire performance out of our systems before the business end kicks off.

Yes we saved the bad performance pre playoff instead of in the playoffs . We will bounce back!

Worst game,performance,opposition and m.o.m choice of all season in m.h.o.
And I will take a lot of persuasion to go to Fev.

The whole point of sporting competition is that occaisionally 1 team performs better than a supposedly superior opposition and wins unexpectedly

It really is what makes the whole thing worthwhile, otherwise they might as well just show reruns of previous wins on a big screen
