I believe if the RFL stick to the principles of their own rules Leigh will overtake Cas within two years. I will be going to Wheldon Road tomorrow and will not pay for a seat because you cannot view the game from that stand. Not one penny spent on that stadium for spectator comfort. Leigh are on the right road I witnessed that at the semi. First class stadia, first class processes and initiatives in place (NOT SURE LEIGH NEEDED DUAL REG) I hope Leigh can afford to make a couple of players lets say special status. I remember giving Ryan MOM in his very early days at the club. Nice guy as well with the Northern Rail Final to look forward to.

My last post came across wrong having read it again, lets be clear here hes a level headed kid from a good family and loves being a Leigh player so I dont think he will do anything he may regret. At this stage it's message board speculation with no confirmation as to if there is an offer or indeed any contact as I am unaware and so is our Football Director Steve Openshaw of any contact. Given our Chairman JR and Finacial Director are both out of the country also it's very unlikely since Friday there has been any official contact so we shall wait and see if Castleford do come forward to express an official intrest and also if they have the Resource available to make it happen.

Because three weeks or so ago same poster was claiming Wire and Saints were in for Ryan, which of course they weren't. Some fan two weeks before a major final stirring poop.

Steve Pike gave me some good advice humour or ignore, I chose the later.

Well I think Ryan can do better then Cas too.
I just hope he stays with us a bit longer.
He will go to SL eventually, of that I have no doubt, he is a credit to the club too, so if we have to lose him like we did Sam, it has to be the right move for him.Although our neighbours be needing a fullback soon!!!!!!

I think Cas is a mistake too. If he has to go to a SL club I hope he holds out for a better one.

Why rejoin a club that didn't want him ?

Cas' loss, Leighs gain.

Get him signed up on a long term contract. Show the fans that the club means business !!

Yes my point was that Ryan deserves to play for an elite Super League club - Not one on it's arsse.

It would be great to sign him, i think a move to cas would be unwise. Do people think he is actually ready for sl? I reckon another season or 2 with us, learning his trade but benefit him enormousy imo. Also if we did sign him, then NO stupid sl release clayses. By doing that it would show loyalty from the player, and more importantly, when the inevitable happens and he is sold, we get some money, instead of losing our good young uns for nowt. Fax have just re_signed murrell on a 3 year deal, with no sl clause.

Cryer64 isn't stirring anything up, he was just reporting some fan speculation that he has read on a Cas Forum. Why would you want to ignore him?? Does everything have to be passed before your eyes now before anyone can post on this MB.

It isn't very professional of you as a chairperson of a professional Rugby League team to keep trading banter in this way with fans. It doesn't portray Leigh RLFC in a professional light.

I'm happy to know that we've got [ipeople[/i running the club, because if there's anything to learn since the great financial crash of 2008, it's that we can't assume that 'professionals' have any idea what they're doing.

To be honest reading some of your comments on here with all the offensive 'plastic leyther' accusations, you don't IMO give a very good view of the company you represent either WYSIWYG.

I never thought I'd say this but to an extent I agree with Wyggy on this. Michael I don't Wyggy thinks being professional means distancing yourself from people, but rather looking at the facts, and debating the point using his knowledge and experience in a persuasive manner. As opposed to calling people names and sing behind his hand because he knows how to press a button that ignores anyone he doesn't agree with.

This club is where it is, some of us want to help move it forward others kill it, I want a club I have watched from being 5 with many of my family who are no longer here to become better not die, which seems to be his goal and yours. I posted to support a poster who only reported some remarks on a Cas forum. He wasn't stirring anything at all as he was accused of, but then again he isn't in your gang.

Also, factually, when was Andy promoted to 'chairman' of the club? Did this happen when I was on holiday, as I thought John Roddy was 'Interim Chairman'?

Cryer posts a lot of contract stuff about Leigh players, he even told us what saints had offered Hopkins in one

Cryer64 or PNE it just shows you why a chairperson or director or anyone associated with the club in an official capacity is better staying off the MB. It is so unprofessional. As I stated in a previous post, it sets a precedent for the playing/coaching staff, thankfully they are too professional to do that.

fact is he is not good enough all round for Super league....great in broken play / backing up but kicking game and defence well below SL standard. He would get absolutely pulverised......that's not knocking the kid he's a decent Championship player who has an eye for an opening........maybe in the future I don't know.....for now no way

As with everyone else on this Forum , Charlie does NOT want Ryan Brierley to leave the club , though I feel it will inevitably happen , class players always get snapped up by bigger clubs its just a fact of life .

As for Free Speech?I totally agree everyone is entitled to say what they think , and without doubt though I don't agree with him , I DO think the rubbish WYSIWYG talks is just as good as the rubbish everyone else talks , including the rubbish I talk , its just the way he sees things , I realise we have to have Moderators , but some use their powers for their own personal opinions .

So for me WYSIWYG , Cryer , Diablo Advocaat , or anyone else should keep posting on here , we are not in a Dictator State yet , and as for the BOM , I applaud them for being open and crystal Clear about things at the club , many years ago , life and happenings at the club , was all kept behind the Hilton Park Iron Curtain .

I don't begrudge anyone having their views but basically he(WYSIWYG) just seems to love having a dig at the club plus its the way he comes across, he sounds like a teenager who thinks the whole world is against him with the name calling on here ,so thats why I chose to ignore him but people still keep quoting him so you end up seeing his post any way .
