Paul is all for (and indeed has championed) the sign up with Wigan.
Maybe he knew he'd struggle this season and knew the only way he'd be able to compete was to have this fall back option of using Wigan players.

Don't agree. We may have been shocking today and it certainly annoyed us travelling supporters but our club know what you are suggesting is most definitely not an option.

Doubt Paul Rowley is TOTALLY to blame, we usually play 4 or 5 drives then a kick, didn't hear TOO many folk complaining last season.

I keep hearing we cant afford this and that, i appreciate finances are tight, but our income must still be way ahead of Sheffield, batley etc yet we are a long way behind Rugby wise, changes are needed, Quickly

Batley and Sheffield work to a budget every year and never overspend the balance sheets reflect that. However Leigh historically have been benchmarked against Cas and perhaps even Wire and hopefully one day will be back where the support and facilities deserve to be. It would need a change of direction though I am afraid otherwise I can see Fev getting the first bite

I am turning upon Friday to watch a special game and to put money in the clubs coffers. We will get stuffed, but who cares ?

Fax on the other hand was a game for which we should be competative and we have a very good record over them. On the few occasions I have seen Leigh this season, the moves have gone, confidence has gone and we are in a false top 6 position, simply because we have some poor teams in our league due to the expansion of it.

McNally is a natural 7 and gifted player. Brierly at least gives some impetus, so if we are not going to play him for the full 80, just get rid of him.!!

I would have Millward back in a shot because there was always an air of unpredictability and adventure in the team. We have some flair players, but it aint no good when we pay good money to have them on the bench for 60 mins and interchanging after 20 !!

I really hope we throw caution to the wind on Friday and give the effort the fans deserve.

I doubt very much that if Sundays scoreline had been in our favour that it would make the slightest difference to what is going to happen Friday ! We could be top of the league but we are still going to get trounced in the CC by Wigan but I don't care as its money for the club plus the atmosphere so I'm still going and I stayed behind to clap them off even if it was dire .

I think Rowley has been poor tactically and found out constantly by the likes of Powell and Tubby. Add Harrison to the list.

However I will say this about Rowley with regards to Friday. Paul Rowley know's better than most what a Wigan v Leigh derby means to the fans, so He will at least ensure the player's heads are switched on, fully focused and ready to give absolutely everything they have in the tank whilst wearing the Leigh shirt on Friday night.

Of that I have no doubt and that is all I ask.

If i hadnt booked a hotel and arranged to meet up with some old friends i would not be going to the wigan game. I have made a decision that i wont be going to any more leigh games home and away, the one and only reason is (rowly) i have never rated him as coach for me he just hasnt got what it takes.
We have a good set of players who are being destroyed by Rowlys tactics, players out of position, everyone knows where we are going wrong, we supports deserve better than this we need a coach with hunger, determination, pride and the main thing is basic rugby league tactics which he cant even get that right. I will miss watching Leigh but untill there is a change of the coaching staff i wont be back, and yes i did go to Halifax game. Can anyone blame me for making this decision.
Sort it out Leigh, dont think it will just be me who thinks like this.

To some extent. I agree that the tactics are **** poor, I agree that players are being played out of position and I agree that, in some instances, Rowley is stifling a few players.

However, I am totally against the idea of refusing to go to a game because of the coach in place at that time. At the end of the day, players and coaches, they come and go; but the club will always remain. You support Leigh Centurions, not Paul Rowley.

Leigh Centurions have my unequivocal support, the same should be said about you and every other Leigh fan IMO.

What Short memories, some of you have,a few months ago he was the best thing since sliced bread.
You dont become a bad coach or for that matter a bad player overnight, he got the game plan wrong possibly and nothing at all went right, if ridy had scored in the first half with the good chance we had,we could have got back in the game and the result could have been much closer, as it will be when the two teams meet again.
If we win the ones that matter later in the season all this will be forgotten.

Cant blame it all on Penky but he's been the most overrated player outside of super league for years. Look at how well Fax are doing without him and look whats happened too us, Nico would be a far better option to give us a bit of pace round the ruck.

You are right Lynda , i was as hurt and embarrased as everyone else yesterday , it was a dire performance , but all WILL be forgotten if we win the ones that matter , we finished second in the League last season , and got nowt , the Seagulls finished well below us and look what happened .
