A mere technicality. Who do you think set in place the training schedules and brought together a squad, and coaching team, and instilled the fantastic team spirit, when the whole club was in limbo, between October and January?

For my money, that's the period where he did his best work, that was recognised with a contract.

He and his assistants, (who he readily praises) have done an incredible job, especially given the circumstances, they had to endure.

Just what I was going to ask! Always one moaner who is never satisfied.Ii reckon if we the SL Championship mookae (how apt) would complain about either the team or the coach (or both) Well done Paul. Proved a great point. Keep it up next year.

Young Rowley has done very well and the teams performances have exceeded all expectations. The reward is richly deserved given the threadbare squad he had to work with.

He is also nicely putting together a 2013 squad that once complete will arguably be amongst the best outside of Super League.

I think Paul has done a great job , with the tools he has had at his disposal , ive always said "You cant do Hip Replacements with a knife and Fork ",and i think next season will be even better , but again to do a job Paul needs the Tools , and i think we as Fans can help provide him with what he needs , through more Fans through the Turnstiles , more Season Tickets being bought , and the Fantastic work that LISA does in fundraising .

Remember all the cash raised by LISA goes to funding players contracts , im hoping we can raise a good amount in the future to help maybe get Paul another player to Supliment his squad , remember his squad is OUR TEAM .

The feel good factor wasn't away for very long was it folks. Very well deserved is Pauls award and this club has shown that it has the back bone to survive and prosper. With just a liitle bit of luck rich rewards are not that far away. Like someone has already said onhere I also cannot wait for next season. Get down to the players evening at the Park Inn and enjoy a good drink with the lads that have given us so much pleasure this year and wish the ones that are leaving us all the best. They deserve a big pat on the back also. I need two fit and able people to give me a lift on friday afternoon putting some lights up for the do and in return you will get a ticket for the evening. You will need to be there from about 12pm and able to lift the equipment. Oh and I will buy you a pint in the afternoon.

Nice to see Paul getting recognised for his efforts this year in putting out a very competitive squad that just ran out of numbers in the end.
The team spirit was visible week in week out from pre season and I suspect Leigh did far better than many people in and out of Leigh expected.
Thoroughly deserved accolade.

As a FEV fan i think the award of coach of the year to PR is spot on. The guy has done a great job.

Thoroughly deserved award , great turnaround from where we were to finish 2nd in the league , 5th round challenge cup tie and 2 semi finals in NR Cup and Playoffs .

A team of players who not only had respect for their coach but wanted to do their best for him at all times , add to that great morale and 1 squad playing entertaining rugby !

Yeh think that's fair enough but that's the type of guy he is.



Sheffield deserved their win yesterday but they might not have had the chance had they met reasonably full strength Fax or Leigh sides in the playoffs.
