Is the LSV completely non smoking? The Etihad is supposed to be, but they now seem to turn a blind eye to smoking on the spirals at HT......People were getting banned for it before. They still ban fans for smoking in the bogs though....

I`m sure if you was in a confined area with burning "waste paper" you would have have a different outlook on "smoke inhalation".

A confined area in the north stand at the LSV?
I fully understand the potential for danger to health from fire, I used to be the ' fire officer ' in a death trap of a sewing factory, I used to test the alarm every monday at 8.30 , then one day the alarm went off, did they evacuate the premises?
No, they all just looked at each other and said, is that the alarm going off? , until I personally went through the whole place and told them to get out, they didnt budge
I fully understand

Is n`t a toilet cubicle a small enclosed area? ,irrespective of it being in the LSV or a sewing factory?.

| Pointless thread. Nobody made a big deal about this. Maybe next time before publishing it were everyone can see it, email the club and let them take action . The clubs name is the last thing that needs damaging. The text idea is great btw.

Totally agree - let's get a bit of perspective! Anyone remember the State of Origin game where hundreds of Queenslanders were hurling pints of lager onto the field when their King Wally was penalised? Did the Aussies start crying and whinging? No, the NSW Players lobbed them back into the crowd and the game carried on!

No one is pretending it didn't happen - just don't know why anyone is whinging and crying over such a non-event. If one or 2 nobheads want to make a t!t of themselves then let the authorities deal with them - or not! No one died!
...and as for a text number to report people to stewards - wtf!!!

| Really is some shallow people who post on this forum, have you got anything better to do than slate stewards for a PLASTIC bottle being thrown. My uncle was the supervisor in the north stand and he had it flagged up to be checked on CCTV. They didnt just ignore the issue so get a grip and stop being so pathetic

I agree, just because the ‘idiot’ wasn’t thrown out there and then it doesn’t mean that the stewards/club aren’t actually reviewing the incident. Why not let the club deal with the incident than having a pop at the stewards.
The stewards do take some poop, one positive – they helped me with the flags again. Top blokes on the north stand

| Well I think throwing bottles on the pitch would be dangerous' and silly and criminal if it was glass. I also think throwing a plastic bottle on the pitch is silly but the idea that if it would have hurt anyone had it hit them I don't think so.
Lets get things in perspective. Isn't it time to drop this discussion ? It is not getting us anywhere.

Not to sure who you’re addressing that to, but if you mean me, I will say what I think be it good or bad, regardless of how shallow you think I am. I have defended stewards/LSV in the past, but IMO this one they got wrong, Once the first bottle had been thrown they should have been ready for any repeat offenders, the second guy could have easily been kicked out if they’d have acted immediately. They’d have probably got a round of applause rather than the offender getting booed.

| I think there's a bit of a balance to be drawn from this thread - the bottle throwing incident is inexcusable, regardless of whether it's plastic, it's empty etc etc, it shouldn't happen simple as that. However, the club and the LSV are clearly working together with the CCTV and stewards to identify the culprit and hopefully take further action against them and then the whole situation will be sorted using the resources available and without brushing it under the carpet.

Just feel its a problem that has only occured this once therefore not a majour issue, if it happens again then maybe make a thread about it and have a rant but to be honest its seems people are making a big deal over this issue which isnt really that much of a problem

as I was the poster who started this thread I assume that you are referring to me when you say "really is some shallow people who post on this forum" so I make two points to you
(1)-I think it is a major issue when spectators start throwing things on to the pitch, whether they are plastic bottles, Glass bottles or lumps of iron,it is inexcusable and should have been dealt with better than it was,
(2) you should have wrote "really are" and not "really is". but either way I think I was in the right and actually I am thinking of writing about this incident to the rugby League weekly.

What good would it do the club if you did this?
Would you not be better writing to the LSV, or stadium safety officer?
I agree its a serious matter but I wouldn't want the club getting a big fine, what we can't afford to pay because you wrote and the RFL became aware of it.
Let the club deal with it.
