| Is it really that much of an increase anyway. £20 over a season to watch the boys. Personally I think the ST has been under sold and this increase is long overdue.

| You could turn this round and say that if you wanted to watch a god awful sport like soccerball it could cost you ten times the £150 for a season ticket.
I will be joinng the touchdown club. £20 a month over a full year might be more expensive, but it takes the sting out of a big £170 payout at this time of year. Is that not a better option for some people?
Also on the game tonight, you two are both right, it is game of the season, Elland Rd is a dump (but theres nowhere else to play it), we will probably lose, but you get to see the best player ever finish his last ever game.
I'd pay my hard earned money for that.

| We will see who's right with how many we sell, so no good falling out over it, but i will say this, a few people at work and in the pubs round Leigh, have said to me last years prices were to dear for them to watch, in there words not mine, second rate rugby, now i know Starbug will say people will always have an excuse, which may be right, but that will give them their excuse, where as diehards like us will pay whatever.

So is second rate rugby any less entertaining than first rate rugby ? , so they go watching first rate rugby at the DW then ? , nah , they don't , they watch FREE rugby in the pub
People tell lies
If a season ticket is too expensive , don't buy one , just pay on the day as you go through the season , if that means you miss the odd match , fine , not a problem , but don't make excuses , just say , nah it doesn't interest me , I'd rather stay in the pub and watch the footy

| Well Ill be getting a season ticket and Im a lottery and LISA member and I play Poker every Tues to put another donation into the club(via LISA), Ill also use LISA coaches to get to the away matches. Have a couple of goes on the forcast comp every week too!
Some cant afford to do all or in fact most of these things but a fan is someone who supports their team, to what ever level they can.

As I said Ian , they lie , they have no intention of going watching anything even if it was free , because the beer would be too expensive , and they'd actually have to make the effort , which they are too lazy to do

| Quote ="DemonUK"Lets put out another statement. "Leigh put prices DOWN", because if you buy your ticket for west or north stand before 5pm on the Thursday before a game it is £1 a game cheaper than last season. How many other clubs have put their prices down.
Simply put if you want to help put the club on a firmer footing, you can by buying a season ticket, or signing up to the bronze or silver packages as some have done. If money is tight you don't do any of those things and come when you can. I suspect JICs little rant is not based on the finances at all but more someone with a bit of a grudge against those trying to save the club. Personally I cannot afford to risk signing up to the packages but I will pay into LISA and probably get a Season Ticket, although I will make that decision in a few weeks time.'"
Why does everytime that someone states and actually questions the clubs thinking always as to be "someone with a grudge against the club"
Perhaps its just someone pointing out its not going to work,Leigh are in the entertainment game they need people through the gates,I suspect they need cash up front as well but to increase on last years early bird prices to this new total is suicide.
But at least I'm being honest and pointing at the elephant in the room and I suspect a few more have noticed it and like me will pick and choose games from now on.
We should have a season ticket section and tape off a little section of the terrace so when us mere mortals come we can sit and admire the righteous ones who save our club

| To be fair, people have been picking and choosing games for years since play off rugby was brought in... If circumstances dont allow it and other things are a higher priority as demon said just come when you can.
Keep in mind the club has budgeted on 2000 average gates this next season.

I would think we will get above that average Dave, if we play good rugby.

I think the ST usually covers 14 home games so based on that a standing ticket saves you £46 and a seating ticket saves you £54
By the way if you join the Touchdown Club @ £20/month its still only £16 more than a seating season ticket and you have the extra benefits plus the convenience of paying monthly

| Actually, I based those figures on last seasons matchday prices of £14 & £16 but I believe they may have gone up £1 for next season so the savings will be greater.

| If you save 50p that'd be enough for me to buy one I never miss a home game so if you didn't make any savings I would buy the tickets match by match then the club would have a consistant flow of money but I shall be buying a ST with any savings

| Couple of points
No sporting organisation survives purely off ticket income why all of a sudden are we going to??
Secondly season tickets are supposed to entice fans in, this pricing won't. The season ticket strategy is a joke. We don't appear to have a strategy!!
It's a bit Howe Bridge Gym saying it's £30 a month or £355 for the year!! The mind boggles!!
Take it you don't want the 2 £50 tickets Starbug, you tight git!! Where's your passion for your country? Without a vibrant international game we have no real game !!
Last but not least are all the volunteers, directors etc buying a season ticket for £170 or joining the TD club, I await the firestorm??

| The specifics of the question wasn't asked at the Fans Forum but something Keith Freer did say was that the club had not budgeted on play-off rugby or semi-final of the NRC next year but were hopeful of progression.

Personally I don't think it is any of your business what anybody else does. If you feel you do need to know then you'd be better served directing the question to each one of them face to face.

They have gone down a pound though if you buy your match day ticket before Thursday for a Sunday game, so that will be £13 North Stand and £15 seated.

I know we are a team down in the league this season but Championship one had 10 teams last season and played 20 league games so I was assuming we would do the same.
Based on that I was going off 10 home league games, 3 NR Cup group games and the first CC cup match which is a guaranteed home draw v an amateur team usually.
Until the fixtures are out though its guesswork at the moment.

Good idea. Hopefully will stop people turning up at 5 to 3 and expecting to get a ticket in time for the match!
