I wouldn't say he'd tear the league up as he's just not that sort of player but playing in the backrow he'd likely give you 80mins of solid attack and especially defence and likely nab a few tries running off Paul outwide, I wouldnt say an exceptional signing but certainly a very good one, similar to Donlan IMO. Just need a Penny / Campbell / Worrency type player just pure speed, may concede a few but in this league backed up by the likes of Littler would score more then they would concede without a doubt!

Remember he has a lot to prove to Leigh fans also he will be playing in front of his family and mates all from Leigh even his brother in law in the same side, i know he not the exciting type of player but hes a big strong lad who will cause problems for defences

he would also be playing for his home town team, the one he comes watching regularly

Agree its a good signing if true. However if deal is done why wait to make the announcement, so I'm a little sceptical.

Don't agree with him having something to prove, he's done that at a higher level already. I'm sure however he'll give 100% and then some as he is a Leyther born and bread (assuming he signs).

Littler would be an excellent signing and will instantly become a fans favourite.

I prefer him in the second row these days but he's easily good enough to play in the centres still.

Either way he'd score a bucket load of tries and run his blood to water.

The club should get right on it by selling Goofy t-shirts! I'd be made up if we got him, our squads looking really good next year if the rumours are true and we get Goofy, Blythe and i've heard about an aussie prop too.

Are we sure about Matty, info I got last night suggested we haven't signed him at all. Personally I hope we do, but its whether he wants to stay at Wire and take his chances. Logic states he will get better with better players around him and also in a team that can also pass his way

I would be very happy with Stu if indeed he has signed, he will without doubt add to our team his experience and he is a proper grafter and as already been mentioned the fact that he will be playing for his home town team should all be positives.

I am looking forward to the up and coming season.

Sam Barlow from Fax hasnt signed for anyone yet along with Brannighan....... both would be great signings IMO with Barlow playing at 13.

Barlow is a decent enough player at this level but he always seems to be a bit of a prick on the pitch (and off it apparently when at sheffield.) Wouldn't be a bad signing but not as good as Goulden or Taylor.
