I think Hilly will go to a SL club when widnes get a franchise. Otherwise he would have to let the widnes pack out of his pocket and I've heard he's got used to having them there for the last few years

Chris is a very loyal person , he refused to move amateur clubs as a junior to improve his chances of being signed for w1g4n

The pies wanted him to move to St Pats , but Hilly refused and stayed with his mates at New Springs

That's why he ended up with us , I spoke to Mark Gleesons dad a few years back , he told me Hilly was the stand out player in W1g4n at that time

i hang my head in shame as i watched last nights game,cos i thought it would be a goodun.it had its moments,but i muched prefered thursday nights game,far more entertaining.

Was training with Chris today at the gym, he's still training hard even though the seasons over, told him about the polls on here, but he doesn't read the board, he was made up though.

Saw him in my street the other day with what I assume is his girlfriend or wife. I asked him if he was looking forward to next season with Leigh and he replied "can't wait".

Chris Hill is a credit to his family, heseems a very modest and level headed young man, from a nice family, i for one look forward to seeing him next season ,playing for Leigh, keep it up Chris.

Is he still eligble for Dual registration?

Leigh will do well to keep hold him no doubt, he is worth a good shot at SL and that will come, from comments he seem's like a clever lad and will give his all for Leigh until the right offer for him & the club comes along. (makes a pleasent change you must add).

dont see why not if carvell get near the squad then hill definately can especially as morley & peacock cant play forever. Also, if you look at the NZ sqaud you will find a former leyther in there & no-one expected heremaia to be an international so give yourself two slaps

at the end of the day we'll never know how good players like Hill are until they are in SL, I mean you can't really compare to Carvell as different opposistion etc. Be interesting to see a few champ players in SL though!

Funny as IMO those who you feel really deserve a chance don't get it yet those who you wouldn't neccesairly think of do! I guess it depends what SL coaches look for!

There is no incentive , despite being the academy director at Leigh in 2004 , I suggested even then that it was a waste of money

TBH I was stunned an academy was not on RFL's 'minimum' criteria list as surely for their 'plans' it's vital... obviously extra funding would be needed for lower league clubs but a development fund should be available across board IMO!

I suggested to get promoted required ALL available funds be put into a F/T 1 st team squad , until you get into and stay in SL

HKR dumped their reserves , went full time , and the rest is history
