Ref gave permission to McConnell to come back on, while none of us seem to understand this fully, the ref sanctioned Leigh having thirteen men on, so an appeal on those grounds should not even be heard. The business of fourteen men also seems to have been cleared up from the DVD, see Freds post above which goes into a great deal of detail as to what happened.

Time to go Ged lad you have well and trully lost what little plot you had, he also does not know the rules as Duffy was sent off for an illegal entry into the field of play which means the player suffers NOT the team, something by the way Duffy will contest if needed.

As Duffy was considered by the referee to have never been allowed to enter the field of play, he was considered to be a substitute and by receiving a red card was not allowed to re-enter the field of play, hence him going getting changed before the end of the game. Similar thing happened to a Fev substitute last week, didn't it?

I personally think this appeal by Haven is as ill conceived as it is very silly petty and a complete waste of time for anyone to look at it because it cannot suceed. Worse than that it is pathetic.

They lost playing a side who scored two tries to one. Never where 14 Leigh players on the the field when play was going on.Stokes knows it. The Haven reporter knows it . The DVD shows it. That is true and unalterable.

To save me going to another thread most of the Haven fans are good company and I don't mind them being biased because I am about my team but they do like most other clubs have a couple or three of very irresponsible adults who really should know better.

That steward should definately not be a steward or allowed at any sporting event he is a dangerous hot head and people like him will cost the club who pays him a lot of money if people won't visit because they could be assaulted.

I think our club should draw this stewards behaviour to the attention of the Haven chairman.

Just watched the so called incident and its as Fred says there was never 14 on the field at one time and the try was several minutes later and JD was sent off for not reporting to the 4th official correctly after the ref was made aware of it , so therfore the substitution had not been made properly so Jock was entitled to resume his place on the pitch hence always ONLY having 13 on at any one time And I've read the rants of Stokes and his straw clutching and it all sounds very very bitter ( is he a closet City fan ) Now for a real referee cock up read this www.totalrl.com/index.php?showtopic=202274 And thats in a final !!! bet the Cumbrian sheep maulers aren't complaining about that

So because Duffy didn't hand in his sub card to the 4th official correctly he was deemed not to be "playing" at that time? And yet we took Jock off the pitch. Therefore we only had 12 men "officially" on the pitch!! Thats a disgrace, we should appeal to get 'Haven's Bonus Point taken away

if they give our three points to Haven then they should give Fevs three points to us then nobodys bothered about anything

Actually, it might not have been the true reason, but it really does sum up the farce that it was!!

After reading the report by Dave, I can't help but wonder at which way the RFL will view things, then again things posted by others (locked thread) would suggest several misdemeanours along with maybe the numbers of officials not what they should have been. The scenes looked chaotic, the incidences with our water carriers amongst others. Did anyone know what they were doing. One thing that has always struck me about Haven is how the benches particularly the Haven one almost seemed to be on the field. How many people actually need to be stood up on the sidelines, theres was more standing in the dugouts than were on the field

Unclear controversial signals and the scenes of chaos on the touchline did not help the mood of the fans which was seen with the displays of aggression at the conclusion of the game.

I suppose in Havens defence when they complain about something its never original, potentially pure fantasy or with more than just a smidgen of spin but definatly something 'different'

Well I doubt they have one of their own otherwise they would not be making themselves look ridiculous as Leigh never had 14 players on the pitch when the game was in play.
