From what i am lead to believe, Sale have too be able too have use of an alternative ground, for European rugby match's.
Also some of the televised games would look better at the LSV than the toilet they currently play at, and again i believe this is some of the thinking.

If they get relegated then it's back to square one, but there again Northampton bounced back bigger and stronger from a year in the lower division....now why does that sound familiar?!

Kennedy was intersted in acquiring a RL club a few years ago I believe.

I am not surprised judging by the entertainment in the two farcical RU Internationals on the BBC today.

It is an excuse for folk to get drunk as skunks at a match without fear of being beaten up which is probably why they do not go to Footie games.

The play is dire the players are out of shape' there is no skill' no intelligent play' just a lot of hurrah types who run around like headless chickens.

Are we really expected to believe that these are the best our 4 home countries have to offer ?

This is not a spectator sport it is rather like asking a lot of intoxicated people to go and watch a fishing match or watch me sup 6 pints in 80 minutes.The folk attending would not know the difference but it should not be on the BBC.

Watch the ' super 14 ' matches if you get the chance frank , it's like they are playing a different sport to the drivel served up over here

They are, they are losing out to RL hand over fist bar SA.
RU is now number 5 in sport on tv in Aus.

And Cas, and possibly even Salford when you consider that they made the play-offs not long after being promoted again.

Well if your talking about boring sport SL isn't keepng me exactly riveted to the screen. The Fax/Batley game was more entertaning. Mllwards interview on here was not very informative but thought provoking. I hope he is keeping those thngs (he wouldn't reveal) that are making the NRL more attackng and entertaining for us to adopt and not for the inevitable SL club he will go to.

But Sale are in the top division ..... surely that means they can't be relegated??

Unless they have promotion and relegation between the top two division?!?

There was a reason for that, he was on a radio show last Friday where he spoke about his ideas plus they were in an article he writes for the trade press every week.

On radio Manchester this morning Beswick said there was a covenant on the Peel Holdings land, open space for the people of Salford or farmland. How does a stadium fit into that? Maybe there will not be a Salford stadium for Sale to play in.

Wasn't there was a similiar covenanant on the land that Hilton Park stood on but that was revoked.

Sale won't be playing at the LSV, the pitch has been designed to take RL and soccer and NOT RU.
So in a nutshell, the pitch couldn't handle it!

Is it not possible to lay another pitch that would be suitable for all three ?

Whilst that is true mate, that wont have any effect on the final outcome of this saga!

What design differences are there in a RU pitch and a RL pitch, apart from markings?
