Who honestly really believed that any team other than Toulouse, would be granted passage to the Sooper Dooper league?

Other than admit in the very same article that they knew they didn't have to abide by the same qualification regulations as the rest of us, and they knew before the 2009 season. Could be classed as nothing, or could it?

That’s not the point we’re big boys, if they want another French team in SL for 'the good of the game' then fine that’s what they should have told us.

I may not agree with it, but at least I would have respect for their honesty.

especially when on their own website it says they will have to qualify by on the pitch results, could only happen in RL.

so what are we, the fans, going to do about this? If we wait for the clubs to do anything we will be waiting a long time. The RFL need to be called to account this time - they have moved the goalposts, the turf and the terracing with this one..!

We cant be fans we dont support a sooooperdooooper league side, we are just rubbish in their eyes.

The Scorpions won their first game and in case anyone doesnt know.... the Crusaders players, can play for either team, as did 6 of them yesterday apparently, what a bent and corrupt sport RL is atm, thanks to Dicky and Co

So glad Ive not booked to go there now, I reckon the fans that go should do a mass protest against the rfl and get loads of banners etc done and see if we can get some press coverage on the protest.

I did think about booking for this trip, but there is sod all chance of that happening now, or in the future .

No they can't. They had four players on dual registration and three others from Crusaders on a 'normal' one month loan with the option of them being recalled if needed.

What a absolute joke the sport of Rugbyleague as become under the clowns at Red Hall.Dick head Lewis will probably not even comment on this story and sweep it under carpet and forget about it.The integrity of the sport is in tatters

Well all he has posted is the RFL have apologised to him as editor of League Express for giving him incorrect information.

So what ? Just means oh lets give him an apology and give folk time to forget this till we give Toulouse a Non Relegation place when Crusaders go wotsits up.

But hang on a mo, there is still the small matter of a Toulouse representative stating they knew before 2009 started they didn't have to make the GF. So thats representatives of two organisations getting it very badly wrong......pull the other one, they have fecked up big time

Martyn Sadler explained that 'SOMEONE' at the RFL misinformed League Express.
Now I don't particularly care for a 2nd french team in Super Dooper League. BUT it does seem a little unfair on them that they have to get to the Grand Final. They don't enter the Northern Rail Cup, so they only have a 50% chance, compared to all the other clubs, though they are exempt from relegation for 3 years. Is it only a matter of time before the RFL do move the goalposts in their favour ?

Since Toulouse were admitted/fast tracked to Championship 1 amongst my many opinions on why franchising is a bad move I have said more than once that the next franchise would be given to Toulouse.

On this thread I have started with sarcasm on page one of the thread. I have tried being cynical. I have tried being reasonable.

Believe me when I say that after the next franchise round Toulouse will be given one wherever they happen to finish this season.

Widnes truthfully should have been given a franchise spot in the last round on the supposed criteria. They were not and the reason is that Sky wanted Crusaders. Crusaders will go bust. Sky now want Toulouse. Simples.

Salford losing their franchise or getting a new ground any time soon ? Forget it. They are in Manchester SKY sell a lot of their sports packages there.

They must have relaxed the rules for them then as you can only have 4 players on loan/dual registered in total.

Damn it!! The natives were getting restless, we were on the verge of a revolution and those bloomin spin doctors at the RFL then deny everything!! Oh well back to moaning about the lack of any pacey wingers.
