For a so called genuine RL fan, you think Starbug would get off his hate campaign and for once and realise that Leigh are an average team at best who were run close by a good rugby team with years of experience playing together and have a "winning" mentality/habit.

Much of the Wigan side are the "best of the best" youngsters around and have a good pedigree and future.

Have a think which side will be hurting most after todays result!!! (it aint Leigh)

Very encouraging , except the lacklustre display will mean that most will not be coming back in a hurry

Just 6/7 1 st teamers playing 30 minutes each would have provided the spark we needed today IMO

I can see the point your getting at Starbug. No dis-respect to the youngsters as they probably deserved the win but it just didnt feel the intensity the derby should of had.

You make valid points but if they,ll pay£14 per match and we do start to play good stuff and bearing in mind they knew what sort of Wigan side(who played well in my view) I think we can get them back.

We are better than we played today that is obvious.

I don,t think IM will be satisfied with our team's performance and I doubt most of our players will either.

After last season it's got to be back to basics. You have to learn to walk before you can run. The first half I was mesmerised with the number of angles we were running. Didn't see that at all last season Second half we lost that! Gotta take the positives out of every game!

It was almost like the HT talk went OK no fancy stuff we,ll play it close for 20 minutes then we,ll batter this bunch of kids.

Well after reading some of the stuff on here Im convinced there was half a dozen games going on today and we were all at different ones, ive watched it twice now and some of the comments about certain players and parts of the game well to be honest they are unjustified if not downright laughable.

i noticed wigans young lads knocked him backwards EVERY time he took the ball up.........lots of heart, but sadly nowhere near big enough

Im a warrington fan living in leigh and would gladly go and support leigh when the wire arent playing or have already played, I have been a few times and would not go again due to the price of the game the qaulity of rugby and the lack of atmosphere. Not having a pop at the true loyal fans but the club itself.

Fair enough but to improve atmosphere fans need something to cheer about. We will see if that happens and the appointment of Ian Millward seems to me to be a step in the right direction.

To be fair at the end of last season as we were attempting to stave off relegation the atmosphere was quite good.

I think some comments are not doing these wigan up and coming stars justice they where well organised especially defensively their tackling was great and their core skills was excellent, this team lost twice all last season and i think they have only lost about 5 in 2 seasons, a very well coached dissiplined side i didnt expect to roll them over easy everyone of them lads has an eye on the first team i also think our lads will take more out of that game than being mauled by 50 points against wigans first team.

That was nearer to three years ago IIRC, and only two players from that side played yesterday. Let's look at the facts - that Wigan side would comfortably be in the top half of our league.

C'mon Matt never let facts get in the way of a good moan, for mine it was a good workout against a well drilled well coached fit enthusiastic skillfull team some of whose players I would have with us now if possible.

Looks like the 'Millward factor' has gone before its started according to some.

Don't think I'd be alone in thinking that there are very few of that team who I would turn down on a dual contract, particularly as it might be a little less likely that they will get recalled in the same manner that the likes of Penny etc were recalled from Widnes last year.

I dont think anyone knows though as to how many a club can have on these dual contracts, as I believe we have agreed to take two or three from Warrington?

Wasn't it mentioned on here that it was four players over the course of the season? In which case I'd be inclined to suggest we only take 1-2 for the time being and 'save up' the other slots for once the injuries kick in (though they seem to have arrived already in the front row!)

I knew that Frank but methinks he was only guessing at that, as I'm sure the regulations on LOAN players was a max of five, I suppose we will find out on that one soon.

As for Warrington that wasn't my understanding Matt - though I do stand to be corrected??
