GET TO WORK

I managed to make it in to the office without a problem. Parking up was more of a problem. However when they decided to close it for the day I spent 30 mins digging my car out and others. I'm not entirely sure why I bothered as now I'm going to work from home all afternoon.

Yeah right

Got a phone call from my boss 5mins after waking up to say we're not opening, so didn't even need to get dressed!

Straight back to bed, lie in til 10.30am, bacon butties from breafast whilst watching cricket on SY and the kids build a snowman in the garden.

Checked email at midday to find the boss has warned that we may well be shut all week!!!

Did a 'big shop' last night so plenty of rations in and no need to go out.

Other than the Leigh/Salford game being postponed again it just doesn't get any better than this.

Walked into work today on Moss Industrial estate which was enjoyable when the snow is untouched and sent home at 1. Just been upto grasmere st for a game of football with a few of the lads

got phone call this morn "don't bother" by the boss

stayed in bed
still though went to asda for food ,cupboards were empty


and on way back even went in the ticket office (2 very nice lady's and a child changed my ticket no probs to the warrington game)

snow was thick on all carparks

ah well at home now, with snowball fight over with ta wife(i won

) all snug and warm with beer to drink (plenty)

Just got the call saying not to come in tomorrow either!

Two weeks over Xmas, one day back in work and then this ..... I am blessed!

Asked work to fix me up with the software to allow me to work from home when required, they didn,t want to pay for it, RESULT!

i've just walked down the canal towpath from sportsman bridge to plank lane bridge unless my eyes were deceiving me near plank bridge there was 2 big snowmen and a big snowball that had been built on the ice on the canal

the mind boggles.

Just got back from work in Skem - left early for the match tonight.

Cant believe its not on after the effort I made to leave early



More worried about the frost tonight and the ice in the morning than todays bit of snow.

Probably wont get off the drive and down the road to the main roads tomorrow

Might just stay in bed in't morn

Well I had to go to work and made it across the border into Cheshire very slowly... same again tomorrow, some of us have no option...

Took me twenty minutes to dig myself in to my residential parking spot after being out in the car this afternoon, so it's looking unlikely in the morning, I say.

I managed to get off the driveway with the help of 2 neighbours , just about made it off the estate and the rest was just slushy n icy on the main roads got in work only 10 mins late , some staff couldn't make it in . For those of us that did we got an early finish.

I wonder what tomorrow will bring ? Left the car on the front tonight as I wasn't chancing being stuck on the driveway on an early shift int morn

The joys

Checked the forcast a few hours ago and they said it'd be cloudy and bloody cold but checked it again 10 minutes ago and it's changed to snow from midnight right through to 3pm

swear it'll be knee deep if this carries on

Where was that Mutteth? Only one I've seen once heavy snow showers overnight on BBC but it says sunny tomorrow.

Had some this avvy at the big vert one
Just as we were ready to leave these two young lasses turned up , dressed far too smart for the noble art of sledging , they were chatting to the gang of lads who had been having a lot of fun throwing themselves down the hill in a big black Polythene bag

They convinced the girls to have a go , so these two girls climbed into the bag and were duly despatched down the slope

I was at the bottom just finished my last decent when these two came hurtling down , unfortunatley stopping the black bag had been a problem for the lads all afternoon and the occupants were cluesless how to stop , they hurtled straight into the ditch at the bottom , the one about 18 inch full of the orange slimy water

, they were covered in the stuff , and as I said they were in their sunday best

Very strange drive home tonight I left Ince at 5:15 and was parked up on the drive for 5:40, very few other cars on the road.



And whilst I've been busy at work, the neighbours have been out all day and cleared everyones drive and the road as best they can

He was one of many, Super Coopers Dad was another, in fact the kids say the whole streets been out, been like having another street party.

Looks like no snow tonight and tomorrow. So snow should be a bit frozen but hopefully major roads will be better in morn. Gonna give it another go I think. Get the cogs of GB moving again....

Went down the same route this afternoon and I must admit it was a nice change from what it's usually like down there. Couple of idiots who thought it'd be a good idea to speed up between two double parked cars near the Plough though when the larger obstruction was on their side of the road.

I left the car on the drive and walked to work, doing the same in the morning as well, its not far though.
