It gets more and more like a fookin' soccer forum every day. Thankfully, there's still people like TV Boy - offering to give an opposition fan a lift to the Test Match on Saturday.

By the way - welcome back Leigh. What's happened today is a good thing.

The guys had to take a break they got tired of beating Leigh's U-21s in Semi-Finals. Three Grand Final appearances in three years with 2 wins.

Is having an U21's no longer part of the criteria for a SL application?

That would be 'by playing a host of 1st team players we managed to beat Leigh something we couldnt do in the season', but if stretching the rules apply in Halifax why comment on our not being relegated, in such negative fashion.

Not neccesarily. The loss of the Gateshead travelling Army may already be being felt at Halifax.

Doubt it actually, Dave. There's been no such thing as 'Under 21's', the past couple of seasons. The RFL changed it to 'Reserves', and I believe it's to be 'Under 20's' next season, then 'reserves' then 'Under 19's' then................

Quite right. I applaud your sentiments. I won,t be the only one who can sympathise with what you have said.

For our game to succeed we need to go back to a level playing field (not a dig at Batley or Featherstone) and return to promotion and relegation. This gives all clubs a chance to grow.

I would hope that it is as our CEO said - a dispute, then a resolution and then a timing issue with the petition withdrawal. One of the Halifax Directors is a relative of mine and he is the most honourable person i know. Whilst he's there i'm confident that there'll be no financial irregularities. I'll bet there's a lot of clubs walking the financial tightrope though, especially in the recession. Borrowed funds are scarce and backers financial assets (other businesses/investments) will be feeling the strain. It is tempting to scoff at other clubs' troubles but the game is too small for us all not to have a sense of solidarity. Whatever trolling and back biting goes on within these forums i think for the good of the game no-one should wish ill on the survival of any club.

of course it's always sad to see a heartland club who could be in trouble it upsets me but in Halifax's case I'll make an exception
