Well I've heard from a good source (the second cousin of my next door-but-one neighbour who once watched a rugby game on TV in the 70's) and he said that not only are we [inot[/i going down, we're actually being promoted to Super League and will be given a 20 point start and can choose our own opponents!!
Apparently this remarkable turnaround came about because Richard Lewis has found God and realised that he's been unfairly biased against Leigh. He's now confessed that it was because he couldn't spell Leigh.
He also admits that after Leigh declined to name the LSV 'The Richard Lewis Stadium', he actively plotted our decline by threatening the referee's with the disclosure of the photos he took on a 'free for all' weekend at the 'GaysRus' resort in Bangkok. He also threatened some of our boys with Amy Winehouse if they scored too many tries.
He says he's sorry, he's been a very naughty boy and wants to know, do we still love him!!

I was given a list of players we had signed (or hoped to sign) for next season. Two of the list were current SL players, the other 5 players were from the Championship. Due to our demise at being relegated I would think that most of these signings (bar two) are realistic!

When we played Fax at home I discussed our possible relegation before the game with a good friend who supports Fax. I mentioned the possibility of them rejoining Championship 1 next season.

He replied he knew,and had talked to the people running the club about this possibility. He said he,d been told they have not applied had no intention of applying for next season and they didn,t have their own ground.

I think we can forget about that as a way of a reprieve.

You say this like its a shock. lots of club don't have their own ground.

They may only be rumours but the fun is seeing if you can guess the ones that actually come true. So far I'm quite confident of 1.

That would be 'Leigh are in Championship 1 next year' would it?

Nothing will be done until the playoffs are finished in championship 1

Then the brains trust that is the rlf come up with another reshuffle and decide that drawn games will be solved by a game of paper scissor and stones

I've looked on the Bramley and Farsley Celtic sites and theres no mention of sharing on either



My thoughts on it are ........... Farsley are at present under administration and is being run on the administraters behalf for a month by a prospective buyer of the club while they sort through all the bids , that news was dated September 4th .

Hopefully part of the bid involves a ground share with Bramley and they can't release any news untill their bid is accepted by Mr Administrater

How can the RFL give a place in Champ 1 to a club who is going to share a ground that they may turn up one day and find that they can't get into? How is that going to happen? Having said this I don't know what sort of crowds Bramley will attract and if it will ensure the ground stays open.

I think the plan is to buy the Farsley clubs ground and have Bramley play there for extra income .

I understood him to mean that nothing could/would be decided until the bid had been acccepted for Farsley Celtic, if that be the case the new owner would decide on the ground share

it says in todays League Weekly that Leigh will definitely be playing in Championship 1 next season there may be changes at the end of next season but this year things are as they are with Leigh and Donny down

Never noticed that. If it was the report about our meeting with the RFL, then in the absence of anything else it has to be assumed we are in Championship 1 which of course is where we will probably be, but who knows. Pea could you point me to the piece you are referring to in the paper.
