The new stadium should have been the catalyst and been a spingboard to launch first and foremost a solid successful club at Championship level with a view to maybe one day attempting to convince the RFL that we are finally able to shed our tag as a complete nonesense of a club.

Ian Millward will have a 3 year deal and will need that just to try and change the whole mindset of the place and attitudes of people within the organisation. Short term views and talk of things like NRC success shouldnt even be discussed at this stage.

As good a coach as Ian is or isnt is he really the man or is it yet another Job for Boys appointment with his previous connections to the club and ofcourse AT.

I personally would like to have seen Rowley Jnr demoted and offered a position of reserve grade coach or a position were he can go away and learn the trade of coaching and bring in someone to work under Ian who has a level of academic inteligence as well as a decent RL pegigree.

Reality is nothing will really change we will bounce back to Championship level at first time of asking but then return to type signing up journeymen players and coaches.

I dont think the reality of whats gone on over the last few years with regards Paul Rowley and the way hes promoted himself with the help of family and friends within the organisation at the expense of other better quallified and better suited people is any major secret is it?????

I supose a internet site is not the best way to vent such anger but i know im not in a minority in the way i feel across the spectrum of matchday fans just maybe a minority on this site which is policed by people who are on to good thing so keep there true feelings to themselves.

We are a big club outside SL and recruited well enough to have made the play-offs yet have been poorly coached and managed on and off the park again and have finally got what we deserve IMO!

And also someone who can motivate the players and work to instruction and not have an ego and believe they know it all!!!!

IM is going to need a loyal and trusted right hand man who can handle responsibility and relay information in a calm and collected manner with composure and a level head. Has he got one time will tell.

And Rowley wont be able to do this because..........look if Rowley does not do what he is told by Millward then he will probably get rid BUT i see no reason why this should happen ,what makes you think that they wont be able to work together
