If they're willing to sit on a coach for 6 hours, I'd hazard a guess that the vast majority will be regulars at home games.

Precisely. The main thrust of the survey is to get it to people who aren't regulars and to find out if there are any ways they could be encouraged back. At the same time the survey aims to make sure that the current regulars' views are taken into account equally. We need both. So surveying only those people who are already (or should I say still) going to matches is of limited value.

Now, I'm doing this for nowt, using our company's polldaddy account which cost 200 quid. I'm not going to commit the time to sift through 250 paper responses nor am I going to go round interviewing people.

It is my firm belief that if this was forwarded to hundreds of people the results would be of use to Leigh RL. I don't believe too many people will try to bend the results. I mean, why bother?

Also, glow, voting 12 times in a spoof vote is rather different from this. Any Leigh fan has no real interest in trying to

I put no change as I would still attend all home games whenever but it would have been better to ask which time do you prefer!

Well maybe he and you could be that sad, but really, this is a serious attempt at a survey and my guess is that neither of those things have happened.

Perhaps if you weren't quite so publicly cynical and negative about it and forwarded it on to your mates encouraging them to fill it out the effects of any 'saboteurs' would be diluted.

For the record I haven’t even filled in your survey, I had a quick look and thought I’m not really that bothered when they play so didn’t go any further but I can’t speak for VM.

If you answered that you don't care when the kick off times are don't you understand that is valuable information for the club? And, if you accept that, why not provide it since it costs nowt?

It is frustrating that people knock the lack of marketing effort then can't be bothered to respond to something that would only cost them a couple of minutes of their time.

I've filled the form in but I think the answers dont cover all possibilities.

Personally I would be very dissapointed if we switched to Friday night games. However, it wouldn't stop me going so i just ticked no change. Which is what i answered to almost all questions because the other options were to go to more/less games which I wouldn't do. I dont think that just because people wouldnt stop going to the games it doesn't mean they dont have a preferred day or night.

Just reading back a little if your survey is aimed at non regular supporters wouldn't it be better on Leigh Life or whatever its called as well? Or have you already done that?
