Sorry you've got them mixed up with other people as the 4 in the picture i see at all the home and away games there has only been 1 widnes fan that has been banned from all the widnes games for a year.
there was no clapping in them pictures as it wasnt the end of the game so there wasnt a reason to clap the players off if they are still playing. yes there probably was some booing though or quite a lot of booing haha

Can we also please stop saying it's a football gound (mainly SKY) as no football team plays there! Watering pitch was simply tactical, and worked to be fair!

| Stereo Vision:
Stereo vision--or stereoscopic vision --probably evolved as a means of survival. With stereo vision, we can see WHERE objects are in relation to our own bodies with much greater precision--especially when those objects are moving toward or away from us in the depth dimension. We can see a little bit around solid objects without moving our heads and we can even perceive and measure "empty" space with our eyes and brains.

It's a £500,000 pitch with state of the art irrigation and drainage systems. It is watered constantly to maintain the optimal surface. Nothing sinister there. All the top premiership grounds irrigate before play commences to have the best surface for play. The head groundsman is the former head groundsman at Old Trafford so I think he is far more qualified to make a descision about watering the pitch than some message board troll.

Whats the point in them? the timekeeper and referees have their own methods and no stadium countdown clock is ever right, SKY is different as the timekeepers sit alongside the production team.
So to answer your question theres no point in having one as none are ever correct.

They do this so the ball will move freely across the playing surface like playing in long grass the ball is hard to move so the grass is cut the grass is also watered so the ball will move along the ground more easily when passing than it would on a harder surface as it the ball would be more of a bounce than a slide. now why does a rugby game need the ball to slide across the pitch apart from silly knockons and mistakes the only time a ball kicked across the pitch is when a grubber kick is made where 9/10 times you would want the ball to be bouncing.
sky like to do their own timekeeping so why didnt they have a clock on the tele then ?
and why pay the money for just to clocks telling the time even if the countdown clock still aint official it gives the crowd a good idea of how long is left im sure one clock is good enough and most people that go the game will have a watch or a phone that also has the time on thats basically like having 3 clocks at the ground

They also do this to reduce injuries to players. The "modern" pitch takes a stud better when irrigated and reduces the chance of ligament injuries. The pitch has a superior drainage to any other in our league hence the need to irrigate. We even had the sprinklers on it prior to the opening game with Salford and the temperature was below 0 degrees!!
