| Contrary to some, I didn't think Widnes were poor, especially after 20 minutes. The game could have easily gone their way!

| Quote ="manxviking"Well done on the win (see Demon UK - I am gracious in defeat
)
We got what we deserved and the better team on the night won.
Cracking game to watch and at least both teams showed passion and pride and to be honest, that's all I ever ask.
Though that's not what my missus thought when we kept blowing opportunities
See you next year lads (and lasses) - always enjoy the games against Leigh and you have a great set of fans.'"

| I feared a hammering after the first 20 minutes and Widnes certainly didn't look a bad side at that point. Think it speaks volumes for the character of the Leigh side to come back from such a bad start and stop Widnes from even having a sniff thereafter.
Was a bit disappointed with the size of the crowd (maybe a few were put off by the traffic), but the ones that turned up certainly made themselves heard.

| Quote ="Ron Burgundy"Enjoyed that well done Leigh.
Maden had his best game of the season and was my M.O.M.
Dont like knocking anyone after a good team effort but Hobson could of cost us the game tonight. In both of his stints Widnes got the better of the game, on there 2nd try he was a target, my 6 year old son knows never to turn your back on play. I think in the second half he had 2 drives and knocked on twice.'" In Hobsons defence the second knock on was down to a very good tackle from Smith and he did follow the kick and score our 1st try.

| So thats 4 games in 6 weeks, compared to the 4 games in 13 days recently. What a bunch of nobs the RFL really are. On the other hand why oh why did the club agree to the fixtures when they were pre released before the season started

Not much choice. Bear in mind that it would have been 5 games in 6 weeks had 'Fax not progressed in the Challenge Cup.
