As I stated in an earlier post, I have seen you and a lot of the other clubs in your league play and believe me your discipline is no worse than any other team. If the refs simply choose to consistently penalise you between 15 and 20 times a match and every single opposition team concedes penalties in single figures, I for one do not buy it as being genuine. Surely, the Leigh supporters can see that you are being badly done to. If you could get an even penalty count , you would win far more games than you lose. It is not a matter of just saying we need to sort this out as a team. I was informed that your discipline was very good on Friday. Why would it suddenly be awful in your next match. I might be wrong and I hope I am but I am willing to bet that you again lose the penalty count by some distance in your next match. I am willing to say this before a ball has even been kicked. Mr.Hewer probably kept out of the match on Friday as he knew his intervention was not needed. Unfortunately, you were being well beaten. Similarly, when you were thrashing London and Moscow, even the daftest ref knows that he cannot then alter the course of the game.
Unfortunately your argument falls down a little if you look at our narrow victory over Haven where we only conceded about 5 penalties if my memory serves me right.
Oh I must have missed that one, but when the season is over, I bet that yet again, Leigh have probably won about two to three penalty counts in the entire season. You must admit though that is very very much the exception rather than the rule. I have spoken to many of your fans and apparently(this is fact , not opinion or argument )you have on average, won about two to three penalty counts per season in the last five years or so,in your own league. I think my argument is that for the vast majority of the season you are losing penalty count after penalty count. If you choose to think this is wrong, fair enough , but I think you will find it is pretty accurate. I find it amazing, that despite having very different squads, different coaches and different chairman etc, this trend continues. Just start taking a look at the evidence. You will see. This is based on facts.
