OHH NO another 12 page thread about Friday night fixtures (mind its better than carrots in lobby)

If you dont like Friday fixtures dont go watching Saints, they seem to play most of there games then thats why i stopped getting a season ticket for them coz i couldnt keep finishing early on fridays.....Only so many times your child minder calls to say one of the kids are ill





And i guess the carrots in Lobby is a no no.........we have them in scouse though

Why dont your club just give free entry to season ticket holders?

IT IS FREE (included with season ticket) for regulars.......the trick is the club/LSV management are going to need "new faces" to come if this Stadium is ever going to be viable, if that mean's silly offer's and promotions .....then so be it. If it's not done sooner then later may be too late !

In these cash strapped times though who pays for these offers and promotions?

What will they loose if they only reduce or give away tickets for the west and north stands. They will be open any way. First come first serve. When they are gone sell the rest at full price. Some sort of better incentive could be offerd for these stands.

So whats a better incentive than - come on down everybody its free?
who pays the £6500 to the LSV for the stadium rental for the day/ who pays the players/coaches/staff wages for the day? or should they also do it for free?

Offers on individual ' low interest ' matches is not the way forward

What is required is for our new ' community ' stadium management or the club to find a sponsor for the east stand to become the ' community stand '

They need to find enough funding to have the stand open for every match with costs covered

Then work out a way to get as many people from the borough into it without upsetting the fans willing to pay to see the team play

Once again communication is the key to this

I tell you what. I will buy a ticket on sunday even though I already have an ST. Why dont you do the same if you hold the clubs financial situation so close to your heart.

Any incentive to entice folk into the LSV at reduced prices is at risk of alienating fans who forked out on ST. No wonder its a dilemma for the club to come up with a useful strategy.

dont be a pratt it was direct question if you cant answer it then bloody say so, starbug managed it, i will be one of those recieving a little from the game and NO I wont take any less as my overheads still remain the same and I will still lose about a grand + this year, so grow up, or do you always throw the toys out of the pram in a discussion

I think we have a "dammd if you do. Dammed if you dont" situation here. Maybe if that happens we could make a ticket price reduction for parents accompanying a junior ST. Make it, or part of it a familly stand.

I dont think it will. I can only speak for myself but I didnt just buy a season ticket to save a bit of money. I thought I was helping the club. I know Bolton, Wigan and Blackburn had problems with it, but it wasn't massive. When I went to Halifax for that night match last year they were giving tickets away outside the ground. I went on there forum later and didn't see anyone on there complaining. I didn't go onto the Widnes forum after they gave away a load of tickets but I didn't hear anything about their fans moaning. Not saying some didn.t but it wasn't a big deal. I personally dont have a problem with someone getting something cheaper than me. Good on them. What I would like is to be sat in a stadium with a lot fewer empty seats. If that makes sense.

It requires the will to do it , the understanding of why you have to do it, the funding to do it , and then ' somebody ' to do it

Unfortunately IMO most people purchase a ST to take benefit of any reward being given by the club, in exchange for fans putting £s in the clubs coffers prior to the season getting under way.

That would be a problem for those Lokomotive coaches
