Then again when I make an observation about team performances on here, perhaps suggesting as I did earlier in the season that our right flank needs to be tightened up defensively, equally I am not looking to pull on a pair of rugby boots, 50 years after I last took a pair off, to go and do it on the pitch myself.

Members of the BOM have created a rod for their own backs with their magnanimous sponsorship of the Fev coaches, some fans now think is their right to get free transport to away games.

Pay your own way folks and stop begging.

No ones begging Harold made a suggestion that's all, if you don't agree then fine.

As for me and my coach party I texted a few friends and no body has replied saying " yeah I'll come but only if it's free?"

Their biggest concern is how soon are we going

I think most people understand what you meant Harold and I'd include the BOM in that as I suspect they knew what you was getting at as the more not watching it in Leigh on TV and the more people we have paying to get on at Headingley the more the club make financially, it also generates a bigger backing for the lads makes it an occasion - especially as its live on TV and in front of some big shots in RL.
That said I'm certain we'll take a lot of fans to this game however they get there !

Sponsored coaches or subsidised travel can help boost support massively that's why Fev did it, and we've done it previously - Hull KR being a particularly successful one.
Having said that any free travel sponsored by very generous people is exceptional in these difficult times and to get it v Fev is an amazing gesture.
Leeds will still see a good Leigh backing and on the night anything can happen.

Well take about 300 due to Friday night and it being on TV , the pubs up Leigh will be bursting , sad but true .
However I will try and get the best possible deal I can for the ooaches

What time roughly would a coach need to leave to get to Leeds? Need to know if i can finish work in time

I'd say 5 o clock we have to leave Leigh

Well it is an 8pm kick off.

Go at 5pm and you hit the rush hour traffic on the M62.

It is only an hours drive from Leigh so 6pm would be a better time imo.

Where are supporters begging for free transport? I must have missed that? The club have procured sponsors previously for cup games, in fact when we played at Odsal in the challenge cup in 2010, we ran a number of sponsored coaches and that swelled the gate in our clubs favour. In fact our group have utilised the goodwill provided by running free coaches to Featherstone to travel to the match on Sunday. I am sure none of us expect it for the Leeds match or think it is our given right.

I immediately understood the thinking behind Harold's suggestion, and I have no doubt from reading his posts on here he is very much a genuine fan over a good number of years who started a thread with only the clubs best interests at heart.

As it stands I am in Milton Keynes on Friday 6th June. I think a swift change of itinerary is now called for.

Well rush hour will largely be over by 6pm and has been pointed out on another thread there are now no roadworks on the eastbound M62 to Leeds.

Ask a driver maybe ? I don't drive of course.

Ive heard Frank will be at Headingly early , at around 5pm on Thursday evening .

Lets say for arguments sake that some coaches for the Leeds game are sponsored, could all who travel on one make a donation to LISA?

Even if its only a fiver, makes money for the club

That is a good idea.

Maybe there should be LISA collections on Sundays coaches too.

Every penny LISA raises goes to the club.

Anyone whos on the free coaches tommorrow and wnats to make a donation can do and LISA will use it to discount the Leeds coaches hows that !
