Leigh at the fore of technology again! for many years Kirkhall Lane / Hilton Park was used by the RFL because of our Floodlights which, today, are taken for granted however Leigh stood alone for almost ten years as the only Rugby League club to have lights,(Bradford's were installed for Greyhound racing and wern't up to much) the mighty Wi@@n didn't have lights until 1968, fourteen years after Leigh!!
Those of you who have removed the straw from the pitch, down at HP, to get the games playable will look back and remember those 'happy times' !!

Cracking game, att 734. Sat near Littler, Duffy, Chris Bridge and Matty Smith.

Very entertaining game att 732.

England looked out of it 12-30 down with 20 minutes to go but came back brilliantly to win with 26 unanswered points. OZ mouthiness to the referee cost them big time.

Englands number 13 got the man of the match and was good but our number 8 was very hard to stop. Well done our lads glad I went.

Our pack was great, leading from the front, the next Burgess on the production line had a big game. (no 8 )

Burgess was number 8, not sure who number 10 was. I think his twin brother was 4 both have signed for Warrington.

For England 8, 9, 11 and 13 were the standout players for me, enjoyed the Aussie scrum half trying to smash 8 when he was stood still. Blood bin, nose everywhere.

I thought our 14 played well when he came on.

I had the miss this game but someone on the Wigan forum has said the game on Friday might be played at your ground as well, hope so.

Todays game at East's was a game of two halves GB Students dominated the first but the Aussies came back and dominated the second, IMO the game was won and lost at half time GB decided to go to the dressing rooms the Aussies stayed out talked then warmed up/kept warmed up so on 2nd half KO they attacked from the off and it worked I also thought that whilst the GB team that started seemed good the substitutes made all the difference in that the Aussie bench seemed stronger and more durable.
A good game played in the fog and cold GB 20 - Aus 30 (I think as my specs kept icing up
