and those empty seats/spaces would suddenly become full if we moved days when we played, i seriously doubt that. friday nights for away fans is shocking, yes i know it would not make much difference to us this year as we've had very few away fans, but i still say sunday rules for me.

The attendance for Hull FC match was not helped by the fact that the team was the worst Leigh side since pre-war times. (I do reckon mid 90s Leigh teams came pretty close).

Judging by our crowds this afternoon, the Sunday games [imight[/i be the one of the causes of that - I'm more than prepared to give Saturday's at 7pm a chance, though I would have it right the way through the season to save confusion. If it doesn't work then at least it isn't for the want of trying.

No they wouldn't , but what we are lacking is atmosphere and sometimes a night match generates a better atmosphere even with the same number of people in the ground

What we are looking at is the best time to get new fans more likely to attend as it doesn't interfere with other things

As Maurice says , 6 pm on a sat can be ok for families as it is early enough for a night out but they still get home at a reasonable time , it is also ok for a pre night out for couples and blokes

I'm not sure about Friday nights, but Saturdays seem worth a go. We was one of 1st clubs to move games to Sunday. Seems we lag behind other clubs nowadays, trying things like this out to move with the times and make games avaiable at best time/day possible to get bigger gates in. If you don't try we won't know.

We've got Toulouse on a Saturday night havn't we? I'm looking forward to that game more than any others just because it'll be different to a Sunday. I think it's worth a go, for sure.

i suppose it will be different to get beat on a saturday to a sunday or friday won't it. seriously i too am looking forward to the toulouse match, going for a few scoops in spoons prior to match and out for a curry afterwards.

Friday nights are no good as I am travelling home from where I have been working and sunday night I am usually travelling back to start work on monday. Saturday is absollutely perfect.

Leeds, St Helens, Wi*an, Widnes, what do they all have in common? Friday night games. Big crowds, increased corporate revenue and better player recovery times. Players love it because they get to spend more time with their families at weekends (will help the club to attract players). No brainer really. Some won't be happy but the bigger picture is a more successful team. You can bet your bottom dollar Basil will be pushing for this. Get used to the idea people.

But why would a player who has been working all day want to go and play a game of rugby after a days graft

Would be the best for me, Nothing to do on Winter Saturdays , a variety of choices to make for anyone with a family / married on Summer Sundays so move it to Saturday.
