Can't believe this. Remember first meeting Wayne at HP and thinking he reminded me of Brian and the half time draw with his rants from the other side of the fence. My condolences go out to his family and friends. A Very sad loss to this club, the sport and to our town as a whole.

So sad to hear this terrible news. Our family have known Wayne for some time now and I'm sure we will all miss his match photos. (Going to be hard to replace! God bless Wayne and thanks.) Our thoughts are with his family at this very sad time.

I can only echo what others have said. I didnt know Wayne personally either but you always feel like you've lost a brother or sister in a way when a fellow supporter passes away and especially one who has done so much for the club over the years.

Thoughts & prayers with his friends & family at this difficult time. I am sure the club will do him justice when the time is right and everyone associated with the club will offer his family all the support possible.

Am absolutely gutted to hear of Wayne's passing.

Spent many a happy hour at the 'Scoreboard End' at Hilton Park having a good chat pre-match and also when his son was involved with Leigh East through my involvement with NW Counties where he did photos and profiles for me on their players.

His photos were the equal of many, so called, 'professionals' and his eye for a shot was second to none. I can see him now, standing there, with his monopod alongside the pitch. Happy Days!!

Wayne was, in a very good way, one of life's 'larger than life' characters and it was an absolute pleasure and an honour to have known him.

My very deepest condolences to Debbie and the family at this very sad time. He will be very very sadly missed by every one of his very large circle of friends.
